I love small moments of fluff and character interactions. Adds context to the world, the ppl in the MCs life, etc. Also helps to establish relationships and personalities.

I’m really enjoying this, and I look forward to the updates! Playing as a mighty, terrifying beast of legend is always fun.
A thought: Have you considered adding one or two additional breath weapons? So far you’ve got breath weapons related to three of the four classical elements: fire (obvious connection), ice (related to water), and lightning (arguably related to air).
It’s a bit of a stretch, but perhaps the fourth option could be some sort of petrifying gas or corrosive slime, to fit the element of earth. (Also, it would allow the player to play a black dragon from DnD.)

Eh, I honestly wouldn’t like a genocide route because they are quite boring and in bad taste, it’s fine if it’s an ending but I wouldn’t want to just kill people like a murder hobo to be a big part of the narrative, how do you even write a book on that?

Choice Game that let you play something other than Human
- Super evolution. - play as lizard salamander or spider, eat monster and human alike to evolve.
- The Abyssal. - play as God of Death after being chained and sealed unleashed into the world.

- Tales of two tail - play as Fox spirit you can either have your revenge or let it go or just torment the people that wronged you.

- Wolf set free - play as lone werewolf that spend years in captivity, form a pack, join a pack or be a lone wolf defying the rules of your kind.
- Broken Fable - play as mythical figure in legend like become Ishtar, King arthur, Zeus, Pele, Janus, etc.
- Saturnine - Play as ancient pre apocalyptic android, romance spiderbot, pleasure bot, AI, hologram or even Human, beastman.
- One Knight stand - be a human or not like Fairy princess or even changeling.
- Era of archdemon - play as one of the archdemon of immense power, fight the Cthulhu and Nyarlahotep.
- Shriek of ash and fire - play as one of demihuman race like Orc, elf, etc.
- Blood Legacy - play as powerful and known to be ruthless Ice elemental.
- Life as a lich - as name suggests play as lich.
- Field of ashpodel - play as Greek god.
- Sanguine sky - play as vampire.

The best interactive fiction that really gets you into the mindset of another creature is “Golden Treasure: The Great Green” in my opinion, where you play a dragon that have the mindset and spirituality of a dragon, it’s like a choice of dragon but surprisingly deeply spiritual, it’s got a free demo on steam so feel free to check it out.
there’s also a couple great non-human WIP that died quite awhile ago, but hopefully all that’s on your list makes it.

From my understanding, mc’s eyes are from their dragon lineage, and that our friend just made the assumption that it was from having night vision because of the appearance

The mc does have nightvision its just not a learned skill but infact innate is my understanding.

So far other than innate power (Night Vision, natural armor, regeneration) and one job skill (Hunter, Blacksmith or Alchemist) it’s unclear what MC skill is, MC’s fighting style seem based on instinctual brawl rather than adopting certain style, fighting scene so far suggest MC is unarmed combat with only natural weapon like claw.
The only path that somewhat show MC is capable of wielding weapon is hunter path, as a blacksmith MC surely know how to swing a hammer and create all sort of weapon but not sure about their fighting style, as Alchemist MC know how to make stuff and doing concoction this include poison, cure, potion for many purpose, it is possible that MC could create offensive weapon such as a bomb.

It’s just an option for MCs that won’t forgive the genocide against their kind since some of us want some kind of revenge. I’m just gonna try both paths if it happens.
Right now we’re just info gathering and gaining strength so we don’t have to make a choice what to do yet.

I chose the peaceful route.
I believe a very violent route should be applied. There are people that love to jump into fantasy to murder hobo.
There are also people that kill to test the world.
In order to know if there is consequences to actions. Some players will try murdering randomly. If they can get away with it. They don’t take the world seriously. If they can’t get away with it. They take the world seriously, and create a character to live in it.
These usually are tabletoppers. There are some that also do open-world similarly or semi-open world.

I admit as a gamer, I try things just to see if the game reacts. Like try to jump off a cliff or throw a ball at an NPC to see if they react. But this is a narrative experience and no live dungeon master to try to fix things every time someone murder hobos.
I could see three ending routes. Revenge path, dragon god of human cult path, and peaceful path.
As for breath powers, I do admit an acid breath could make for a fourth power. Could be like a poisonous spit that also puts out noxious fumes.
Then you have physical things, like a strong gust created by the wings, a tail attack, claws, fangs, and the mentioned night vision.
As for profession in battle, my apothecary MC has his ice power but also definitely all manor of potions, elixirs, and poisons.
Blacksmith has physical strength and familiarity+ access to weapons.
And Hunter…well they are self-explanatory.

so the dragon god cult path ? nah in my eyes wouldent fit in the story but thats in the end up to the author but so far if i did read the story right is the hate from 99% absoulty against dragones so i dont see fit actuelly on a cult
edit: i take it back a cult could bring endless riches to our mc perfect for greedy ones

Actually, if you wonder about town you end up at a gallery where a weird guy in a robe insinuates that there are still cultists out there that see dragons as gods. He even implores you to seek some lady out. So …it’s very much a possible route.

Eventually if MC is old enough they do become godlike cuz it’s so far hinted that the more ancient dragon age the more powerful they are.

So since i saw so many share there mcs, i decided why not do it to.
I first tried Ai but i was never really happy with the results, they just kinda felt lacking in some way or form(especially since i didn’t manage to produce correct full dragon forms with ai), so i went into Hero Forge and forged(funny i know) my mcs there.
Anyways here is my f!mc: A fire dragon apothecary/herbalist
Summary
Just ignore that the scales are not feathered, there sadly was no other scales model for the body
I searched on pinterest too and found two that also really describe what i had in mind, more the second one i regards of body feathers, but the first one is closer to what i imagine the tale looks like.
I am still not sure what kind of head i want my mc to have, but i am tending to a mix between my forged one and the second pic.

Anyways here i did get a better picture through ai than i did with my f!mc but also not perfect
And one i found, that had the body features that i imagine my mc has(body type and these little ice cristals), from pinterest
Also the scales are more like a frost white with an icy undertone…like real ice
Now thats all, i honestly had a really great time forging them and searching for pictures, cause god lee it is amazing to see how talented some people are.
Also i am excited to see what our true form actually will look like, if we get to choose forms or if we have one already cause of lore reasons
