So, for volume one you can choose between the sleepover or the investigation but you canât do both in one playthrough?

I donât see why we couldnât do both especially since our friend group has come with a way to deal with bully.
Usually, when a game has a branching path, you can only do one path at a time

I think Iâll be changing it so Patrick doesnât tell the twins about Aunt Julieâs laptop until the end of Chapter 4, so thereâll be no other opportunity to do the investigation. The sleepover might provide some clues that may be helpful for Bâs sidequest, but thatâs not at all the main focus.
Although now that I think about it, maybe you can still join the sleepover if you do the investigation since Rosieâs house isnât very far? Youâll miss out on most of the sleepover activities, but I think it makes sense especially because you can be mad at Aunt Julie and Uncle Robert in the investigation branch.
Oh, and if youâre curious, the investigation branch is IAC-related, but not for the reasons you might think! Itâs way too early for the twins to know all that.

Hello everyone!
So I just had an unexpected development: Aunt Julie and Uncle Robert will have a pet now! 
Theyâll be either an aspin or a puspin (non-specific mixed breed dogs and cats in the Philippines), partly for my convenience because there are too many breeds to choose from if I make that customizable as well.
You can choose their name, and youâll have the choice to either pick a cat or a dog, unless you choose to be afraid of either cats or dogs, in which case itâll automatically be the other one (you canât be afraid of them if you have the puppy or kitty plushie since that would be MCâs fave animal).
And yup, youâll also be able to have the [Animal Lover] Trait in Chapter 3! 
And oh, it only took three chapters, but youâll finally be able to choose your twinâs gender in the next update!
You will encounter the choice just before you choose your relationship with your twin in the prologue. Do let me know if you have any problems with how the choices are worded!
Please note that this only changes your twinâs pronouns and other gendered termsâthe MC will always have a fraternal opposite-sex twin. Youâll be able to choose how your twin usually dresses in Chapter 3 though!

Happy Pride Month! I know this is long overdue, but I wanted to make a post thatâs a little more meaningful.
This choice was planned later in development because itâs a lot trickier to implement than just adding another set of variables, but I decided to do it much earlier since I think itâs best to present the choice in the story as early as possible.
I know how important it is, especially because I myself can relateâI had the same thoughts as MC too when I was younger, and even now Iâm still not sure what to feel about myself.
Anyway, I hope this lets you play your twins much closer to what you all have envisioned!

Will, there be a mention of it or just little something in the diary if you pick for both you and your twin to be trans or just not cis in general.
For example, you two feel closer or something because you can understand what each other is going through and can be there to help in ways others may not be able to.

Oh, thereâll be a little something in the diary for sure. I donât wanna promise anything, but I hope to have some mentions and conversations here and there (especially with your best friend/crush options and later with Maggie), although there wonât be anything in-depth as that isnât really a focus of the story.
There might be a small relationship bonus, but it probably wonât be anything significant.
For now, only the MC can have them, but youâre free to headcanon the twin having them! Thereâs a bunch of other customization options for the twin too that arenât included yet such as hair styles, but theyâll be available either in Chapter 3, or will be included in a later update once Volume 1 is complete. Itâs not always easy to implement them in the story naturally.
Oh, and thanks for the report! I mistakenly put the twinâs favorite color instead of their eye color, hehe.

I did want to ask if there would be conversations and stuff but I didnât want you to feel pressured or something to do them and then end up having to do more work than necessary and burning out because of it.
If you do end up doing them that would be awesome if not itâs okay because as you said itâs not the storyâs focus anyway.
And I just wanted to say I donât expect a relationship bouns the example wasnât meant as asking for one it was just to show what I thought would be in the diary if that makes sense?
Also, you mention Maggie and letâs just I canât wait to say what happens when the twins meet her again because I know from personal experience how jarring it can be for both you and your parent to meet again after years as you both have changed so much and it can a lot to wrap your head around.
You said itâs not easy to naturally implement the twinâs customization options so why donât you have a mention where the MC is looking in a mirror or something like other games do when picking what your MC looks like and thatâs when you also pick the twinâs options too.
For example, you pick a hairstyle and the MC thinks something like theyâre happy itâs different from their twins whose style is short and messy or that the MC is happy they both have the same look.
Another example is clothing and itâs something like youâre looking for your favourite comfy jumper and itâs been accidentally put with your twin stuff again which you donât know-how as all their stuff is way more colourful or it says something like there is no way Iâm going to find it as we both have the same taste in clothes.

Thank you for the suggestions, but I mentioned the end of Volume 1 because I already have plans for how Iâm going to do the customization.
Like I said, some of the customization options will be in Chapter 3, because thatâs when you get ready for Rosieâs party. Thereâs already a mirror scene in the Prologue (where the MC makes fun of mirror scenes), I just didnât put the twinâs customization there because itâs already loaded, and theyâre not relevant yet at that point.
Thereâs also the fact that thereâs an option where youâre writing the short story for yourself only, which make the MC give less focus on their twin. I donât want to create duplicate choices for that option.

So I was updating the diary entries to include pronouns (more on this later), and all of a sudden I get the idea: what if I make Paddy gender-selectable, so you can pick between Kuya Patrick or Ate Patricia?
Nobody really asked for this, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to do it. I didnât even have to convince Patrickâhe actually wonders in the story about what itâd be like if heâs the twinsâ ate instead (Ate Paddy will wonder the opposite).
Patricia will mostly have a similar appearance and personality to Patrick, but thereâll be a few differences in how they interact with other characters, so itâs not only a pronoun and name change.
Iâm not sure if the choice will be available in the next update because Iâd need to make a new drawing for her, but Iâll probably just put a placeholder in.
Anyway, Iâd love to know if this is something youâre interested in!

Hello everyone!
I was updating the diary with the character pronouns earlier like I said in the previous post, and since then Iâve been thinking about adding âthey/themâ as JM and Lilyâs second pronouns.
Lily and JM wonât start using them until after we finish their respective story worlds (Volume 4 and Volume 5 respectively), but I wanted to mention this sooner rather than later because we wonât be there for a looong time.
Theyâre still very young, so I wanted to make this a part of the story and come about naturally as they find out more about themselves and their identities, rather than just an arbitrary choice of wanting to have more diverse characters.
This wonât be reflected in the diary yet, but Iâll update their character pages in the blog once I also have Ate Paddyâs drawing!
Oh, and hereâs a lil sneak peek of one of the stuffed toy choices. After being removed in the prologue, youâll finally be able to name your plushies/stuffed toys again in Chapter 3!
(Please note that thereâll be platonic versions of the choice giving your stuffed toy as a gift to Wayne or Rosie if you donât have a crush on them.)
Iâll be looking for beta testers for Chapter 3 very soon!

I just signed up for beta testing. Also, Iâd love if the MC could have a crazy hair color like pink, green, or blue. Obviously not their natural hair, but maybe they dyed it on a rebellious streak.

I just finished debugging and coding in the stat notifications!
I still need to do the new stat notification graphics and the emojis, then the beta test should be ready!

@Kelly_Seastar Thanks for the suggestion! It wonât be possible in Volume 1 since LCU doesnât allow dyed hair (at least for elementary students), but maybe in Volume 2!
Edit: I finished working on the new stat notifications, so the beta test is almost ready! I just need to clean up some miscellaneous stuff, but I gotta go sleepy sleep since Iâm still a lil sick and my fingers are starting to hurt.
I changed the stat notification font, and hereâs a little preview:
I think it looks cleaner and hopefully it should be easier to read from a distance. I wanted to make little icons for each stat too, but itâs too much effort right now. Maybe Iâll consider them again in the future.
Iâve also changed most of the 
symbols and assigned the traits with more appropriate emojis! Hopefully this helps better communicate which choices give traits, and which traits unlock special interactions.
Iâll try to work on Ate Paddyâs drawing when I get the test up and running, but Iâm not sure if I can draw Aunt Julie and Uncle Robert. (And I still need to do Maâam Bianes too.)

I have selected the beta testers! I will keep the application form open for now, since itâs likely that I might select a smaller second batch of testers in a week or so, depending on how the testing goes, to keep it manageable for me. (There were also a couple I couldnât message.)
