Yeah i agree… i think the standard one is the price of a McD lunch meal…
The $5 one is perhaps like eating a Sushi meal…

Here are like a dollar and something more expensive but That’s Google fault lol. Still for me with the times I replay is cheap. I mean I still playing once in awhile games I bought 4 or 5 years ago.
Still for many people compare this to games freemium when this should be compared with literature or other game books that comes in millions of parts and cost triple.

An Example A otome game the game is one but selling each romantic choice as a path and sell them separately … You could end up paying for a simple almost linear few visual game 30€ easily. I had friends that have paid more for small scenes dlc of only 1,000 words like 2 euros… And many even have loot boxes…
Say Cog are expensive is in my opinion don’t see the market as a whole.

Certainly it’s a debate that continues to rage on, and there are plenty of threads about it on the forum. Anyway…I was wondering if folks on here were also familiar with the history of the (real) Grand Guignol? Any French forumgoers about? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Guignol

I read the wiki… it was something like a paranormal show ? Or an occult theater ?

I am Spanish and The guiñol take from the French tradition is part of the mysterious relates. but goes more for the owner killing woman and become them puppets and her brides and Then Puppets coming from him and trap him forever or become a puppet himself forever cursed and bringing misfortune to their owners. We hadn’t the spicy guiñol back then

I’m sooooo excited! I can’t wait to buy it.

Now I’m hungry.

Aren’t the bodies of those corpse decomposed? How can they still become puppets??

Magic … or pact with demons. In Old Spanish terror one constant is the dark side of catholicism. And The witchcraft related and associated with sexuality. The fact a woman could have control of her sexuality and use it. It was terror in the XVII XVIII . So mist terror stories had a lot of sexuality on it witches nude having sex with demons while hypnosis man to do their will etc…

So You could Imagine like Beautiful women dressed as Brides pale like make in marble heartless and with only revenge to the man who ripped off their lives .

After the vampire and werewolves themed games, It is good to see a game that appears to be inspired by the Frankenstein’s Monster to get a turn in the spotlight!

After playing the demo, I liked the fact that depending on your initial profession, you can have extra scenes with the people at the theatre (ie. composer MC with Julian when dealing with musicians, writer MC with Chloe when fixing the script). I think this greatly improves replay value!

Can’t wait for the release

It’s definitely a cross between Frankenstein’s Monster and the Phantom of the Opera, though, don’t you think?

Mad scientists? My weakness. Playing a monstrosity? Also my weakness. Playing an undead abomination that also happens to be an accomplished parapsychologist alienist? And also being involved in classical theater?

It contains so many of my metanarrative weaknesses, you could sharpen it into a stake and use it to pin me to the inside of my coffin.

Oh, definitely! From the demo, I can certainly feel both an emphasis on the themes of science via the Frankenstein-esque experiments, as well as theater from the maintenance Grand Guinol Theatre. Quite an interesting mix! :star_struck:

Edit: Also I wonder, is the artist who drew the cover the same who drew the cover of Superlatives and Heart of the House? Kinda reminds me of those…

Yes, it is. Abigail Larson. You can always find the artist on the credit page of a game.
