Only one more day to go that is hoping everything goes smoothly and no hold ups on apple’s end
So, based on the demo, all but one of the ROs from the first game are limited to flashbacks. Do they at some point show up at camp, allowing you to continue the relationships, or are your only options either picking a new love interest or choosing to stay faithful and opting out of romance for the game?
My character’s relationship with Alison was my favorite part of the first game, and continuing that relationship was the thing I was most looking forward to. The demo made me feel like that probably wouldn’t be happening? That Alison and the others wouldn’t be active parts of the game?
I was already considering skipping this since only certain endings are allowed to progress, but if Alison (or any RO) is not actually in the story I am definitely passing.
I would take note that this has been specifically addressed during beta testing …
I hope this addresses your concern.
The game is out in the Choice of Games app on Android.
I’d just suggest…that’s a little harsh. The fact that only certain endings can progress is not an attempt to limit people from enjoying the game, it’s a testament to how incredibly branchy the ending of Psy High 1 is.
Would a sequel to Choice of Robots even be possible? No.
ETA: I think we’ve only had a two games for which sequels were actually planned when they were written, Versus and Pon Para. I am not sure how Heroes Rise was initially planned out.
I view it like choice of romance. At first I was really disappointed you could only advance the story if you romanced the monarch but after playing it, I ended up really liking the game.
Choice of Robots ends perfectly, assuming you got a good ending. No reason for a sequel, even if you only chose one ending as canon.
Same thing for Psy High, I thought it ended great as a stand-alone game. In a sequel where you need to have gotten an ending that leaves open loose ends is not usually something that interests me. Not that is can’t work.
My biggest point would be whether old ROs get enough inclusion in the game. Otherwise I would probably play the entire series without romance if it is unlikely they will ever be lasting.
Hopefully my concerns are unwarranted.
Interesting. I guess I don’t want to derail the thread too much, but briefly, I think an abundance of “good” or “loose” endings is not the reason we do or don’t decide to make a sequel of a game. And I think in the case of Psy High, the importable endings are satisfying. It’s more about spending time in that world. And yes, your RO from game one makes an appearance, but the subject of the game is you being a summer camp counselor, away from Kingsport High.
Taylor in the Sequal is sweet , kind and understanding … she really knows how to care for the feeling of MC
a sequel i did not expect but absolutely is welcomed
i’m so excited for it to be released sometime within coming day
Is the game out yet??
Games are never “released” until we send the mailer to our mailing list and post a new forum post announcement. Currently it’s already available in the iOS Omnibus App and Google Play Omnibus App. It will release on the website, Steam, and as a Google Play standalone app later today.
I think that present it as a direct sequel will make some fans assuming a certain amount of continuity of stuff mostly RO that they want to rekindle in more detail that this story can as it was planned differently than a typical sequel. That is similar to what was Superlatives 2 perception. I am very excited about it and hopefully will be a rotund success
Why is it not on Google play yet
Yahoo thank you!!!
Mailer announcing release coming shortly.
Pay High 2 is out now, as I mentioned, but uh…here’s what happened today.
When will the game be available on Amazon?
