COMING THURSDAY, Psy High 2: High Summer -- New Author Interview, TRAILER, and DEMO

Thank you all for the enthusiasm! It is awesome to see everyone so excited about both Part 1 and 2 of Psy High. I had a great time returning to this world, and it feels great to hear that you’re looking forward to it too.

Just a quick PSA: both the author (@ladybird) and the editor (@jasonstevanhill) of Psy High 2: High Summer are going to be traveling for WorldCon in Dublin this week, leaving the rest of the team to oversee release. If there are bugs and such that get discovered post release we’ll all be doing our best but patience will need exercising on all sides

Can i get a link for the demo so i can also try this one.

If you’re thinking of the first Psy High, it’s here.

Well i played through the first game again, and I was in fact mistaken. It’s the Nexus that you draw the power from, and the tidepools are from the Nexus that you don’t draw yourself.

But if you choose to take the power of Nexus yourself, it clearly stated that it would also stop the tidepools, as I’m no more tidepools. I mean it is possible that it doesn’t take effect immediately, but it is not stated anywhere.

I read the first one (I’ll have to re read it) and I really enjoyed it so definitely gonna buy this on

If you give yourself massive power, would there be a major change in how your powers work or is it just a stat difference.

Tyler/Taylor was a popular option? Interesting, I never liked Taylor.

Same to me as I always break with when he says I am a freak to have powers. I have end my saves alone as I don’t like any of romances options . But I am hyped as first game was wonderfull with many options.

I liked Haley, personally. Curious newsie and the most complementary partner I could think of. Alison is a little weak, and I never much cared for the “bad girl” with no actual personality.

Taylor turned me off about the time the game told me how I had a crush on her. I mean, I get why the author did that and it wasn’t nearly Black Magic obnoxious, but if you say that when the player doesn’t care about the character, then the character’s going to fall flat.

I tried to the role as my character had a crush. But that character is obvious and blindless. But I have to recognize that I have met people exactly the same in High School so personality-wise is very realistic. Only I don’t like that kind of romance.

Ignoring whatever description she had and imagining my high school crush in her place kinda helped for me. But Alison will always be my favorite RO in this game.

I didn’t like Alison. Her personality is accurate but not compatible with me at all. What I loved was the agency to show annoyance and break the friendship appart as is something that happens a lot.

I found her cute. Also probably she is special for me bc she is the first RO I went for in a CoG/HG game.

Edit: Anyone here playing the first game on the android omnibus? Do we have the save function there too? Just to make sure.

I must be the only one who fell in love with Nate and got sad when he wasn’t an RO. :joy:

Since we are talking about the ROs/non-ROs, am I the only one who would have given it a try with Mackenzie? I find rivalmances interesting.

I am with you on that. But I want a new character to romance so I am thrilled with the idea

Yep. From the moment I first played it.
