You’re reintroduced to Genevieve/Guillaume in a subsequent chapter?

I found this bug.

In the match versus Jacks, with me leading 4-2, choosing the marked option, I lose the point, but the game interprets that Jacks was ahead and the game becomes 2-5 in his favor.

I’d love to see some interaction/s with the opposite genders tennis team.

@Pg_squad absolutely! Thats the main reason why Felix was added as a character in the first place

@Daku and @Aner thanks for letting me know! I’ll fix the match bugs based on the screenshots, but @Aner would you know where you met G (which party activity/rooftop) and where you were treated as though you never met (was it the next day during orientation)?

Ahh yes! So glad you like this, because I really want to make yhe r’ships feel like they change/evolve through time based on MC’s reactions and choices, as well as from various events

HAHAH yess some might see it as the catalyst for the rest of MC’s transformation.

@skele99

Aww thank you so much for this sweet comment, and welcome to the community!! :sparkling_heart: I really wanted to write a sports/slice of life IF, and I know there hasn’t been a lot out there so far but I think the scene is growing! hope you’ll continue to enjoy the story!

(And P.S. yes… there’s no way to beat Deepal yet :stuck_out_tongue: there will be if ya stick around though!)

If you REALLY want to stick it to Deepal, switch to partner with Tobin, which saddles him with putting up with Rayyan.

(gods, I loved that game - pity you can’t run it in modern hardware)

I get that you don’t like Rayyan, but to turn every unrelated topic into that is a bit much

I’m only bringing it up because who you’re going to partner with is EXTREMELY topical at this point in the demo.

EDIT: Just to check your claims, I actually scrolled up - the last time I was the one bringing up Rayyan was on April 25th, 11 days ago. So maybe you should, y’know, go try to police somebody else. Or, better yet, nobody.

Hahaha  oh dear. Well honestly Deepal would be p chill about that :sunglasses: and… probably make it work (and torture Rayyan with some bad jokes at key moments too). So, win-win all around.

@mags - Hahaha yeahh yess i guess rayyan has that effect on some folks :woman_shrugging: definitely created them to cause a bit of a stir though, Rayyan’s bound to generate some strong opinions!

And @JBento - definitely also true that where I left yall off last chapter is absolutely :100:% why there’s a rayyan debate in the comments and… im not sure whether to be sorry about that! (probably not).

I think it’s a testament to good writing to create such strong feelings, for sure. Not everyone enjoys dealing with more combative personalities but I can empathise with Rayyan even if I’m not on their romance path. They seem like someone who is very goal oriented. I relate a lot with their frustration of having an idea of how to reach those goals be sidetracked by external factors. Life is about learning to deal with those kinds of things but it’s normal for a uni student to be figuring it out still, and ultimately it is a skill that you develop by participating in anything competitive.

On another note, about RO’s that veer off from first impressions, I was sure I wasn’t going to like G bc their description seemed to be a very stereotyped idea of french people (as an european it’s always weird to see neighbouring countries through the eyes of american media) but I was so wrong. I really enjoy the angle you’re going with for them, not angsty just to seem mysterious, but an actual fun person who’s just aware that they’re in a temporary position, can’t wait to see how it develops.

Are there any female tennis players ?

I can somewhat agree with you. My MC somehow has a competitive rivalry with Rayyan since they both only think about winning, but their reaction to being paired with us in doubles, despite winning both matches, generated quite a bit of annoyance for me :joy: (too bad I don’t have a more aggressive response to give to Rayyan).

But yeah, the author generated quite a lot of feelings with that.

I think despite being able to win both matches the MC will still look like a wild card in the eyes of someone who already knows that the rest of their teammates are capable of. Again, I think it’s a case of not liking unpredictability in the face of carefully laid out plans. As the year goes on we’ll probably have more opportunities to cement our play styles and skill.

It’s obviously okay to not get along with people with that personality type, but I just think it neat to have characters who aren’t always without faults.

Is your MC male? Since the men’s and women’s teams train separately, all the players except Felix are of your MC’s gender.

So no chance to meet with the female team.

Rayyan is fun as a rival, we just clash when we’re on the same side.

I play a female MC, if that’s what you mean

Yup! @DuhtyDogg - there will be some, but limited interaction with the opposite gender team in the IF. Meaning I will be writing some scenes where you will hang out, but this wont be a big part of the story - right now I only have plans for 2 occasions for extensive meetings. Hope that answers the question!

@Zeom hahaa yeah rayyan’s fun to bicker with for sure. Some MCs mayndefinitely have a harder time accessing Rayyan’s inner softer side (I mean, or even wanting to access it) and that’s totally the point!

I met G in the hallway at night before moving on to the rooftop. The next day, as my roommate was moving in I encountered G though seemingly for the first time as it asked me to set G’s gender (it picks Guillaume either way by the way) and goes on to give his/her physical description etc.

Do tell if I need to be more specific.

Got it, thank you!! Will let you know when Ive fixed it

Finally played CT. So good! Both the ROs and all the people, in general, are super interesting. I like IFs where you have to juggle responsibilities, and that there are options for the less sporty of us that break down how the stats work, the description of the matches, in general, are easy to understand (at least for me). The end of the update left me very excited for the following chapters :eyes:

Just a lil question:
After what transpired, could MC drop their (until now) good performance and be noticed by the others? Sort of the emotional and mental distress making a number on them? But that’s just me nitpicking. I see my MC being awful with conflicts, and making him reflect if it’s worth staying in the team since he isn’t as driven and wouldn’t be devastated if he doesn’t go pro in the end (seeing it as a mockery for those who are way more ambitious, looking at you R). Obv that’s not really possible given the plot, but this seed of doubt could threaten the good life he had at campus so far.

(there’s also a petty side of me wanting MC to leave the team in a “okay R let’s see how it goes without MC burdening you” way lmao I just want them to feel bad. Just once. As a treat.)
