Question I have been a fan of this game for years and comeback every year or two to it and was wondering if you are planning to make a Chicago continuation or a new game entirely which is cool I would buy it and love it same as your pervious works

He’s still working on it, both to continue the story forward and to improve what’s already there - in fact, it just got an update last year.
The author is one of the owners of Choice of Games and one of their four editors, so he’s super busy with administrative and editorial stuff, and that doesn’t always leave a lot of time for writing. But it’s very much still an active work in progress!

How long have you been a fan? I first read Choice of the Vampire over thirteen years ago.
I’ve been a fan for about 8 years. And have been reading choice of games content since I was 15 10 years ago starting with Tin Star.

Though I didn’t meet or romance Annie in this playthrough, I keep getting choices that reference a performance of Annie’s that was ruined by Aichinger that I do not recall from this playthrough or before. I’d this a glitch, or is there something I am missing?

In Memphis, Lockridge can tell you that your future may be in organising Society parties if you do a good job in Memphis. Now I know you can sort of do something like this with the LPE, but would it be possible to include some vampire party planning too? With all those vampiries in St. Louis and Gudrun visiting, it may be a good opportunity for an artistically inclined MC to put those Creation points to good use.
On a side-note, I was also wondering if there might be a way to tell Sabine that she is delusional, same way one can do with Memeskia. I know it would most likely tank the PC’s relationship with her but it is frustrating how you can never push back on her more absurd notions. The Europeans are never leaving!

@jasonstevanhill Is it intended behavior to be able join mortal masonic chapters as a poc character? As is if you’re a poc mason you can join the Memphis lodge and from there the STL lodge with no blockage. In addition, it doesn’t seem as if transitioning MTF has any impact on one’s Masonic membership.
(Also there should be at least acknowledgement of a Priest joining a mortal lodge in contravention of Catholic doctrine, if not blockage.)
Edit: Second Masonic oversight, if inducting Hiram,you say that your dominus inducted you. This isn’t necessarily true, as it’s possible for the MC to be inducted by Jesse in Memphis. There is also no knows_jesse_mason check, despite it being possible to not know at that point.

@jasonstevanhill I am glad to report that with the help of @apple and a couple of other people with who I discuss this game with, I was able to finally achieve a run where the PC leaves for Chicago with Status 5. This involves a pretty narrow path and kind of embrace (Isleno affectionate embrace by Villanueva) as well as some other specific choices. This character enters St Louis with Status 4 and by becoming Tribune, achieves Status 5. She (the PC could be a he too, I guess) survives West - just barely. Summoning Bailey as Tribune is a great help for that, as is making the papers rave about West.

After further testing, this is doable with any build that starts on Creation 1. I think it might be achievable even on a Creation 0 start, but I’d have to run it again. For demonstration purposes, here’s a slave embraced by Carlos accomplishing the same, without even any Fighting:
(Sidebar: This run plays Clotho II for free literacy, and I decided to romance Annie as well for giggles. Should they not get mementos ala Clotho I and Silas? Seems a disrespect to their memories, in a game sort of all about that. Also Chicago should have a mortal dude to romance for the boylikers ty for coming to my TED talk.)

Has anyone been able to get speed 5 in Vicksburg ? I was able to do it once with a German build and catch the one vampire as a spy.
Speed is not a stat and you can’t have any stat at 5 by Vicksburg, so I’m not sure what you mean by that?
In other news, a Status 5 run is prefectly doable on a Creation 0 start, with the caveat that it requires speaking English to start and Villanueva as sire so that Estefania can save you from your lack of Creation in NOLA. Here’s an Irish run for demonstration, the key here is establishing an income early and spending the money on gas-lighting, before snagging Creation 2 and 3 in the timejumps before Memphis. Done with the full RNG, my random stat rolled onto the useless-for-this-run Technology.
