Choice of Rebels: Uprising — Lead the revolt against a bloodthirsty empire!

I was listening to this song the other day I think it just imbodies the rebellion, Dierks Bentley - Riser

I am replaying choice of rebels with another Cha2 Int1 MC, this time i saved Olynna and had just remember we seldom talk about one heroic Anthagonist, Sarcifer the Goate… the Mage who oppose the Hegemony
@Havenstone had it been mention how Sarcifer maintain his power without Harrowing? Did he found a new source of power for his Magic? If such is the case, then i am going to find him to ask about the alternative source of power, can a Int1 MC learn magic too?

Either way, could Sarcifer appear in Book 2 ? he will be a powerful ally …

Sarcifer will not appear in Game 2, and an INT 1 MC cannot learn Theurgy. But yes, when he appears, he may be a powerful ally.

Ahhh… i am sad, for not being able to learn Theurgy… at least Int1 is enough to learn medicine and save dear Elery…

Oh yeah , i forgot that another of my faithful devoter is Pin… she basically was in awe with my Cha2 MC and believe in all my reasoning, she was another key leader to help me unify the children …
Pin had shown why it is important to bring along children to the rebel cause, these children will undoubtly be my loyal and capable officers when they start growing up …

When the rebellion is successful, Suzanne , Alira, Elery, Breden and Pin will be my core council ministers  so i can have a Democratic Monarchy system? …

You are so softie :hugs: The others powers will crush on you hard. And all noble will directly kill you for destroy all their powers and favorable laws. As Usa has learned you can’t force democracy in to the people who don’t want it or aren’t prepared for it.

Has it been revealed here who the rat is? I have to hand it to you that it was only after multiple playthroughs from different scenarios did it become clear. Sucked to find out but it’s good that they were resolved

But i have the support of all main faction… the merchant leader had allied with me, and i am already Angel Eclect, so the priesthood is on board, breden ,Elery and Alira can rally the commoners and Pin can rally the children …:slight_smile :-)
Calea will play a part in pursuing the aristocrat’s support but most importantly Suzanne’s family is reknowned so the nobles should be on board as well…

Now the question is who becomes the Monarch … historically for fantasy world , a Priest-king is not uncommon so i can still wear the crown… alternatively i can let Suzanne be the Queen instead

Lots of people have posted their theories. You’re very welcome to add yours.

Sure… Go and tell Calea and Everyone

" Guys, Now you will lost absolutely all your power, all your privileges and all your land… And by the way You will pay taxes. And be exactly same as your current slaves that will win a voting system and destroy all advantages you have had " Sure they will be thrilled to follow you. This is not a power fantasy. The probability of you creating a democracy without destroying everything is same @idonotlikeusernames character ride a horse wearing an aristocracy tunic shouting LONG LIFE TO OPPRESSION

I am sure the Aristocrats won’t want to share the same fate as those in French revolution  , they are intelligent and should realise what will happen if they don’t compromise with the commoners … by the way, some of their privillege will be maintain as well as some of their land …
My Cha2 MC, along with the charm of Suzanne should be able to convince them … :-)

Sure… Because your Aristocrats know French revolution… And will be thrilled to become part of haerowings lost all they have ,that were trained and experienced thousands of years , all their religion and believes to become mere poor citizens and see how their former slaves reclaim their lands from them. yes… They will launch parties in your honor…

I think a democracy is possible end. Yes after a BLOOD revolution where you kill all nobility and wipe all their rights and religion. There was no democracy without a revolution .
This is not a power fantasy. So I don’t expect for Mara a really good ending. I imagine like best scenario, 75% of population in my play through will die by famine. It is the sacrifice to end the blood circle.

But if you achieve your goals lol I will hail you for achieve a pony rainbow ending

It’s pretty clearly

Summary

Breden

I suspected it was them at the end of my first playthrough but when I was experimenting, a scene early on solidified it to me. Also, and this is a spoiler:

Summary

She is the ONLY ONE that will kill the nobles. No other character is so quick to off the people most likely to know who the spy is

Well… Democratic Monarchy isn’t full democracy… because the Aristocrats and Royal family do retain some privilleges… the Monarch is the head of the Kingdom with ministry posts given to other factions… the other nobles are given position like Governors who is the head of a district , where he/she will lead other district ministries such as mayors…

Only the center government posts and district mayor posts are voted , so the Monarch and Aristrocrat still hold a major power, this is a power sharing new kingdom, which should be fine…

I am waiting to see how Sarcifer retain his power without harrowing, perhaps we can use his method? Rumour was that he drinks the blood directly… if that is the case, we can line up people to perform blood donation , which is better than harrowing

Well, Not Mara . I ended up with her main motivation is stop Blood magic use and Shayard rights. It is a great change Mara had from my first idea of her. She still charismatic and convinced that Fighting won’t leave anywhere. But she became more and more Idealistic and good that the first evil Gandhi. She still considered Helots as inferior but in a Feudalism good king way. She believe they are people and have rights reserved same as commoners and are not slaves to be used as cattle. But she doesn’t consider them equal. She believes as (medieval nobles) that they obligation as nobles is lead and take care of the lesser.

Well… i admire you feudal kingdom because it is similar to Warhammer’s Bretonnia Kingdom , where the King , the Grail and Questing Knights rule the peasants peacefully with undivided loyalty from their subjects… and they do prosper

My kingdom is more like the Empire faction of the same Warhammer universe , Where the Emperor rule along side the council of lords and the priesthood…
Characters such as Pin, Elery and Alira are talented with proper education , so i will ensure their talents won’t lay waste…

Both the Empire and Brettonia are allies in the warhammer universe , so i think my kingdom and yours can form an Alliance and work together as well :-)

Except, that i am ruthless if someone attacks my people. As I said Pacifist not hippie. I firmly believe in the right of legitimate defense If blood mages and mutants attacks me and my people hell if we will defend ourselves.
But always both nations are treated equally and maintain the word they have given a peaceful and relaxing relationship and cultural interchange is wonderful.

Border dispute usually can be handle peacefully , as long as we deploy trusted loyalist to govern the border region… which is why Alira is the perfect choice , she is loyal and not blood thirsty … Suzanne is also an obvious choice , but since she is my queen , so i will leave her in the capital

I would suggest, though we set up Beacons of alliance like that in lord of the rings, so that each of us can come to each other’s aid when the beacons are lighted :-)

Oh and if mutants happen to wander into my land, i will try to recruit them first …well, why make enemies when we can be friends right? :-)

Thanks! Also, I figured I would ask for the Word of God before I went on 10 more test runs: is there any situation in the game where a certain number of traps is optimal in terms of maximizing number of rebels remaining after Act 4 (as in, you would have more rebels remaining as opposed to a run in which everyone went recruiting all the time).

You don’t have to tell me what it is, I was just wondering if one such scenario exists.
