Also God @Havenstone Havie you know why More men that I have die in the Theurge fight? I still winning and i not lost theorycally more than four in text. Stats say 25 people have died I HAD ONLY TWENTY and in text says I only lost 4. OH my goodness I AM SURROUNDED BY ZOMBIES

Hey Mara , i am now in my 5th week of rebellion in my latest playthrough, i have over 300 rebels… well i kept sending children to be fostered but recruting adult rebels at the same time… so far none had died :-)
I adjust their food ration to healthy food… the children are not complaining now, because i choose to crack jokes with them all the time, and Pin agree with me that we shouldn’t raid or rob…
The way i see it… this is a big merry band of rebel, Zvad is my deputy, Breden isn’t complaining… in fact me, Breden and Elery plead and beg from yeomen and helots every week , and we also keep spreading our cause… It had been wonderfully successful …
Oh and i keep teaching them knowledge with children joining in… hahahaha the way i see it, i am having a much happy time with my rebellion… and they will be very educated too…Lol :-)

But i didn’t read Elery whining with Breden… Elery seldom approach me in fact, It was Pin who always approach me and embrace my enthusiasm with passion… 
But Alira really show her character early on, even though i spare the assassin Fraed life, but Alira ensure 2 arrows struck him accidentally while hunting… she is the one who fought along side me mostly in the final battle , that’s why i intend to make her acting leader

You should keep Breden, we will have a cherrier environment with Breden around, and Breden constantly brings me mules and food… :-)

Now seriously, If you were looking the wip thread of this game you will understand why. @Havenstone and I are friends now but I had given him probably one of harsh criticism and bashing he had to endure. I probably made this game far larger and complex for poor Havie. He is a saint to don’t kick me out from Beta lol.

Well… apparently @Havenstone has make Breden into a lovable character , not only she/he had been a good companion , Breden had been essential for a low anarchy and peaceful rebellion , looking forward to see how male Breden involve in the next book…
In my other save , she is my wife… and having an assassin wife who has split loyalty is thrilling … definitely going to be a dramatic romance moving forward.
By the way i still am convince Breden wasn’t the traitor even though he/she is an Assassin :-)

In first beta version you were forced to kiss Breden in a very kinky way. I thought she was put a mind control spell on Mara. Then joined the fact there was only a path Helot loving and follow Breden like a lost puppy. There was ONLY option. So ai felt terrible railroad into liking a character forced upon me and save commoners mara didn’t like at all. So I take a deep hatred of character. Thankfully Havie add two Backgrounds and the fact don’t kiss Breden and love her him by default. If that were from beginning I probably won’t hate the character. Even if still not my type.

Yep, the original Breden intro very strongly rubbed me the wrong way too. Not that I particularly care for the new and improved Breden intro either, but at least the new intro doesn’t make me grit my teeth in anger the way the old one did. In trying to make Breden attractive to everyone, I believe the author sanitized the character to such an extent that he only succeeded in making Breden attractive to a small slice of the population. Breden is more of a “bro” to my characters than a potential RO, and in that light, her early cowardice is something that both my MC’s hold against her even before they begin to suspect her for other reasons.

I directly hate her and don’t go with her for all the gold in the universe. And I feel proud of myself when I saw those choices Like hey, I did help a game become better for once at least Don’t hate me Havie lol… But only think in that beta demo makes my blood boil like a harrowing

I recall. We both gave @Havenstone an earful on that one. 
My dislike for the character is probably mostly a residual of the original intro as well.
The new intro doesn’t really offend me, but neither does it cause the character to show up on my MCs’ radar as a potential RO either. My characters found Breden’s bold confidence to the point of pushiness to be off-putting, strange, and downright foolish for a helot, a reason to suspect her of being a kryptast, not an attractive trait. And there wasn’t any other supporting information for why Breden was supposed to be so attractive beyond authorial fiat. Given how strange Breden’s bold confidence and overall pushiness came across to my characters, her later cowardice left my characters to conclude that she was a fraud, full of nice-sounding words, but quick to disappear on the friends she’s hyped up to fight when the enemy comes knocking. This only strengthened the suspicion that she might indeed be a kryptast.

I still firmly believe she is a blood mage like in Dragon age and uses mind control spells and she tried lure Mara to the doom like a Siren… Mara charisma saved her.
I know is no true, but that’s my head canon.
I have to thank @poison_mara, @P_Tigras and the other beta testers for the revised Breden then. I wouldn’t want my MC to be forced to kiss someone I didn’t know much yet…

There isn’t such a simple equation for many situations, but I can tell you how many traps a theurge wants: 0. The same answer is called for if you’re not planning to fight it out.
A theurge will have the Hegemony’s morale rekt with as little fighting as possible, so traps just add more combat and are generally counterproductive.

Well… there is no argument that Breden is a Kryptas, but i just don’t think she is the one who betray us…
More ever, based on general belief… every household lie a Kryptas, Breden isn’t from MC’s household, so there is still a 2nd krypstas who is hidden among us… that’s the one who betray us
And about the trait of tough talking personality who backoff when things become serious is not uncommon for a human behaviour, none of us can guarantee how we will react in the face of danger…
Breden isn’t the only attractive helot… else Calea won’t be falling in love with them right? Lol…
Anyway, i chuckle myself when Breden led the mules he/she brought to be presented to the children , that was a kindle heart spirit… :-)
Finally i think my MC is more towards Neutral Good, i am not going to follow straight lawful protocol just because the rules say so… like when the theauge fly past the forest, i could allow the band to rest till dawn
That’s why beta testing is needed in games and we only help polishing. Havie did all the work and his world building and lore is amazing.
