Choice of Rebels: Uprising — Lead the revolt against a bloodthirsty empire!

Lol its why i said power after all if its a " magic sword " an even if not real divinity isnt it like thruage made or likely blessed by there clerics thats the divinity i speak of. As for the massacre path the one time i played the being captured route was years ago and i think ran away or tried to save people not even sure what my stats were for that character. But as it is im done talking about this topic for now send a message to haven he might be able to give more information or look into it when he has time.

Eh, it’s an ultra niche path that requires you to lose in a very specific way to even access it, he has more important things to prioritize.

Do they fully disavow the caste system of the Hegemony and its attendant chattel slavery and affirm the fundamental equality of all people? And are they gay friendly. If, yes, then they are likely to potentially be a lawful religion.

Considering Xthonism makes no comment on the matter (enforced heterosexuality among helots arises from secular concerns, not any doctrine I can see) and the Seracca are a bunch of genderfluid furries, I imagine any melange of the two will be, at absolute worst, entirely neutral on LGBT rights. It’s if you start injecting Hallasurq DNA that you might want to be concerned, though that also resulted in Nyrish gender fuckery so who can say.

Having just looked through the code, I think it’s possible. A COM 2 character should be able to either rescue the captive rebels or start a rout if there are fewer than 100 troops left. With any stats you only get a chance at a rout if you pick the “kill 'em all even if that kills me” option.

You’re right in pointing out that on the COM 2 path the rout is stopped (and you’re killed) if there are any surviving Theurges, while the COM < 2 doesn’t have that. I’ll change that at my next update.

And you’re also right that I’m not going to spend a lot of time making sure the rout outcome is easier to achieve.

Well, G2 readers concerned about whether the history books will remember the backwater village of Irduin will find one answer here.

While the Hegemony lasts: yes, with some prudential limits on how widely they make this known. After the Hegemony falls: unreservedly.

Yes. Most are.

The results from the 2COM/1CHA Variant of the guide I’m writing, even better than the 2COM/1INT one (though both win flawlessly). I just copied my Winter Strategy and plugged in 2 mule raids in some other weeks to make up for the 7 mules you miss by not doing the post-Harrowing plundering. To prove this wins without issue, I left 3700 gold on the table on a run with middling RNG.

2COM/1CHA is probably better for export to Book 2: it can impress Mykar without any allies, and if you increase your Charisma in Sojourn, you can have some fun destabilizing Irduin.

If they encounter my mc it would be really prudent of them to inform him of those facts. Otherwise they do risk being labelled a non-lawful religion.

The worst miscommunication they could do with my mc would be to present themselves as “animal welfare” faction members, like Olynna. My mc really despises those even more than straight up tyrants like Zebed.

There are guides that you can look at if you want

I just wish I could set Breden seperate from other ROs. I want to make Breden a man, so its easier to ignore my demisexuality and ignore him.

I prefer ROs built with history more than those not. Dependent also on personality.

Edit: He wouldn’t be an RO if kept as a man.

Or seperate things. I only go wlw.

If you are on pc (Think there is also stuff for mobile too but I don’t really know much about it) you can just edit their gender

Yeah I do agree on the ro’s in 1 to be a bit lacking in character (Along with most of the non ro’s too  ) but Have said it’s something he is trying to get better at and going by what’s in book 2 so far I think he is

I will have to search then.

Thank you for making life harder for non COM 2 characters, they deserve it. On the other hand, it seems one of us has misread the code. From how I’m reading it, in order to actually be able to be captured and make an accounting, you need to be routed, the Phalangites need enough morale left to pursue you properly, and either 3 theurges or more, or over 200 troops alive. If you had no theurges left and, say, 186 troops left alive, you’d simply redirect to the flee ending, and never encounter the Phalangites to make an accounting to. And when you have 201 troops alive, even after killing 90 there’ll be too many left alive for a rout to succeed. Also, any chance a successful magesword rout could be considered winfight 10? You’re killing the Tagmatarch, stealing a Theurge forged sword, killed all theurges and made the Phalangites flee while rescuing your rebels. We might even be able to consider it the legendary triple ending if we add it on top of that Insanity of a plan.

As always, @HughMyronBrough, thanks so much for the time you’ve put into the game and the guides you publish. Super useful for the author as well as players.

And it was me! Thanks for persisting until I twigged. What if I gated the COM 2 rout beind phalangites < 40 (and 0 Theurges) rather than an alltroops check, same as for COM < 2 characters? With maybe the COM 2 character able to cut down a few more Phals before the < 40 check?

I think your own rout keeps it from being a 10, but I should probably track it and let it count for (much) more than it does at present. You’ve convinced me.

And is “the legendary triple ending” Discord jargon, or am I overlooking something else I should be remembering?

That would work, depending on how many Phalangites I get, the optimal way to do this would probably be to piss off enough weaklings while keeping my notoriety below 120, as at that point I’d get sent 5 theurges and wouldn’t be able to deal with them all. It makes things more difficult, (especially because I’m a madman that raids the architelone in double ending runs) but once you decide on the numbers, I will hopefully find a way to make it work. Or Hugh will, one of two. Maybe Leddy could too. We have a lot of minmaxers.

Aha! The Legendary triple ending is real! And no, you’re not forgetting anything, that’s my own meme. But, we could practically consider it a triple ending if we get our rebels to infiltrate the rim, kill the Tagmatarch and rout the Phalangites.

Got to thinking about yalls conversation and the route and getting the sword why couldn’t it be a possibility but in the reverse and aquire it for those that out right beat them in the fight? Or is it just more likely they wouldnt show or excape before the end?

Because you have no way of getting her sword in a normal stand and fight. If you break the phalangites, then she leads the retreat and you’re never able to get her sword. Only by tricking her with an accounting you’re able to get right in her tent, steal the sword from her sheath and execute her. And, after that, you can flee on your own, you can save your rebels if you have 2 COM or De Firiac, or, finally, you can start a rout.

That’s not a triple ending? The “double ending” was named as such because it was two separate end states (battle victory, rim spread) unintentionally overlapping at once through specific routing. This sort of end, spreading to the Rim and losing before lucking out with the kryptast code, is entirely intended behavior, the only unique aspect being the numbers being configured such that you storming out “routs” the tagma.

I keep missing which is INT based shouts and CHA based shouts. Restarting again. When I dont do CHA/INT I fuck up on which dialog is which, besides Com.

Yep, Chapter 2 sucks. Looked at it again. So, several weeks and I keep restarting after week 3 many times. I let myself not eat and just waste away to restart. What did I do to succeed I can’t remember. The guides kinda suck for what I try to do. Most of them are basically ruthless and pacifist, hah. No. Eventually I will get through C2 that I wish I could cheat out of.
