Sure, thats already kind of a path in this game and the cecum adaptation could help it be animal friendly as well. It would also allow adherents to keep their blood out of the Hegemony’s hands better which would be the entire military strategy around that path. I just meant its not an inevitable consequence of this choice.
I don’t think so, unless self-change is a closely guarded secret for the elite of the church. The problem is that this is high level theurgy, and theurgy is inextricably linked to the Codex based religions (and several others). I feel like the Elect path is an explicit call to maintain the hierarchical nature of hegemonic society and its central religious pillar, while replacing the specific leadership. For the “plant eating revolution” to have any significant effect on preventing the famine and undermining the Hegemony’s blood supply it would need to be widely adopted. This would require spreading the knowledge of theurgy in a society breaking way. I think the inner voice, both kenon and angelic, are the only existing options that won’t have self-change equated with the rankest goety. I mean it still will be, but there is a ready made retort.
Not necessarily, I don’t think the ability to digest plants better will automatically call for an any specific lifestyle.
