Essentially Cao Cao was stating that: he will not usurp the Han as long as they don’t betray him.

This is what my MC believes in too, basically the Hegemony is an established regime and name, it’s easier to use its reputation and power to push reforms through.

I thought “Koine” was the language; did you instead intend to say koinon?

Also, in comparison to your current “Cao Cao-inspired model”, what are your thoughts on the long-term success (or failure) of my “monarchical koinon” hybrid model? (as previously discussed on the Uprising thread)

Which is what Cao Cao ultimately did- he set the table for his son Pi to create Wei.

As for the Ministry of Magic, I try not to take JKR’s world-building too literally. Her stories are full of plot holes and contradictions.

Noted. And on a separate note, FYI, I was introduced to the franchise through the movies. Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson’s onscreen chemistry together is what convinced me that Harry x Hermione is a more deserving pairing than Harry x Ginny!

Yes, and bonus FYI, Havie also previously had the following to say about the chances of “deserter Zvad” getting back together with Elery:
“Marriage alliances do solve some problems, but “my lover abandoned me because he thought we were going to die, the bastard,” is not one of them. Bringing Zvad back into the MC’s fold will be easier than bringing him back into Elery’s.”

Good chance she actually ends up working with the Leaguers despite being a Homelander and comes to see the Laconniers as useful idiots for Halassur.

Quoting (and repurposing) what @Bryce_Kaldwin said earlier: “If (your female aristo MC) overthrows the Hegemony and instead established a Koine or League in its place- she will need to rebuild the legitimacy and also its institutions from scratch if she does a clean break.”

Why not instead wield the legitimacy (and brand recognition) of the de Syrnon throne/name to encourage the Laconniers to get behind the idea of a koinon? (AFTER converting or purging the “bad faith actor/Halassur sellout” Laconniers, and then working with the dissenting remnants/survivors)
