I mean, in a tumblr post Rohie did say that the bestower will always show friendlieness for the bearer even if it’s platonic affection or romantic affection.
to bad i don’t like coffee because that seems like a useful excuse lol
me? i just had a long long nap/sleep around noonish and woke up at dusk and now I can’t go back to sleep, but im tryin’. gotta fix that sleep schedule before classes start, or at the very least i gotta start waking up before noon and sleeping by 3 am instead of this… [gestures vaguely at a clock that reads 6am] …travesty.
anyway. enough about me, back to the game
so you know what’s weird, and @Fay pls dont disown me when I say this…
I think it’s been well established how much I love Aeson, but like…honestly tho?
for real?
if im being honest?
like, irl
I’d probably go after Santi first
and it would probably be terrible
the world’s most horrifying case of like-attracts-like
and then i’d go after Aeson if fay hasn’t stolen him first
…Fine. To be honest, if Helen or Aphrodite was a RO, I’d probably have a hard time getting past my confused reincarnated feelings for Helen or my total undying hatred of all Greek Gods. I was actually going to force them to bring back Aelin but then again, it’d be kinda weird to date a… zombie? Or whatever she would be if Hades brought her back to life.
Edited: I’m pretty sure Rohie said at one point that we probably could romance Helen so yeah it would be a toss up between her and Calypso as my main romance in the story.
To be honest? Uh, Apollo. Because of what I’ve read in the tumblr page, Apollo is supposed to be narcissistic. And I sadly don’t go well with those people in games, books, movies or in real life. Plus, in the tumblr page it is mentioned that Apollo used to have it going on with us in a past life. So think about it:
Does Apollo only care about you because you remind him of his dead lover? Man that’s sad.
And think about the age gap though. I know that the essence is 14.5 billion years old but that’s the ESSENCE and we are the HOST. Not the essence. Our bodies are just simply vessels. So it would be more like Apollo the sugar daddy.
Aelin? The girlfriend? To be honest it would be awkward if our former girlfriend/boyfriend came back to life. Like, why would you even ask that? Imagine having some sexy time with one of the other ROs and Sawyer/Aelin came back to life just to find out that their ex got it together with some other person. Do we even think of the consequences? In the game the gods stated that the dead did not belong in the living world. I remember that a certain guy in HP revived his dead bride, but she didn’t fit in with the living so she comitted suicide and he did the same thing to be with her. What makes the MC think that their ex will appreciate the gesture? What if they wanted to find peace? But instead they come back, just to find out that their significiant one has moved on, or that their family has moved on and forgotten about them? Honestly, I never really cared for the gf/bf because we only spent a very very short amount of time with them. So no, I don’t miss them. We never got to know their characteristics. And to me, they were just a blank NPC that died for the sake of the plot.
Mainly because they did sacrifice themselves for us if we go through the rose gardens while we did not do anything to save her, just ended up running away when we probably could take out the hunter that was going to kill her. So really, you could say it’s survivor guilt on my MC’s part. But yeah as you said, they’d probably kill themselves as soon as they were given the opportunity to do so. I’m just gonna be straight with you, my MC is completely screwed up in the head with anger and missing parents issues. If he ever finds the hunter that killed Aelin, he’s gonna smash his face in with his bare fists like how Kratos killed Zeus at the end of God of War 3. But that kill doesn’t even come close to the very brutal kill of Poseidon in it.
I think the fact that we’ve brought them back indicates that we haven’t moved on.
But that raise a question, if we did bring them back, it’ll be after our 18th birthday, right? Now, they died when we’re still, what? Fourteen? Does that mean when we bring them back it’ll be in their 14 year old body or will we make them the same age as us?
To be fair about Oli, he and Saint are kind of a duel package, so anyone whose looking to get their family fix from their blood family (something Priscilla can only offer much of due to being somewhere neither of her children can ever reach her and Zeus…well, the less said about him, the better), are likely going to be equally as interested in the person who is tied closely to their brother.
Honestly, part of me is waiting to see how she gets handled in the rewrite because it’s been a little hard to really pin down what could be considered important aspects of Avery’s personality and personal views.
But from what we currently know about Avery? Let’s see:
She’s got a bit of sarcasm and a mischievous side (I’ll admit, she won points with me when she casually told Santi there were no more Barbie bandaids, only to give one to the Bearer…sometimes right in front of Santiago depending on who the Bearer wanted to talk to).
She apparently develops a crush on the Bearer (probably the earliest one out of all the ROs to develop such feelings) but, due to the age difference and her personal demons, she and Santiago are currently having a contest on who can deny their feelings for the Bearer the hardest (which makes me inclined to think that if there really is going to be a accidental kiss between the Bearer and ROs, these two may be some really strong candidates for that sort of event).
She’s not a Demigod, but she is a witch, which means she may have some magical abilities unique to her kind in particular.
Her parents are divorced and she has a half-brother whose the same age as the Bearer (which may be another reason why the age thing is a issue with her).
She seems to have some form of tension (and bitterness) toward Healer and says she’s not selfless (nor magical proficient) enough to be a Healer herself.
She’s admires her mother, but we have yet to know if she’s close to her father and the others in her family.
She will be the one to look after the Bearer’s health as a medic (and she apparently has training on how to calm someone having a panic attack).
Might be one of the calmer people the Bearer can befriend/date.
Never have I seen a face imply so much about a character’s situation.
I’m seriously waiting for the day where the Bearer sits down to look at the group they hang around with alongside someone of story importance while wondering out loud why THEY (the person going through varying levels of PTSD) feel like the most stable person of the group.
That other person’s solemn response? “Because you weren’t raised on Olympus”.
The Adonis one made me laugh more than I should’ve. But if there’s a character who I can see trying their hardest to hide the fact they’re feeling jealous, but ends up being the most obvious about the fact they’re feeling jealous, it’s Adonis (and possibly Sage).
Well-
…Ok, hear me out on this.
It’s got more to do with Sage’s intensity than anything else. I like people who have a lot of energy and are passionate, but someone to Sage’s extreme would likely make me feel exhausted and easily overwhelmed very often if they didn’t reel it in to some extent. Maybe could be friends with her at least but, again, it probably would take a while to develop a understanding about each of our paces.
Santiago would be the other one; guy’s ego and condescending nature would likely drive me up a wall far too often, that developing a bond in general would take a LONG time.
Evander and me probably have the closest similarities in regards to the type of people who naturally draw us in.
Yes; Sage is one of the female ROs that the Bearer can enter a relationship with (though I imagine that whether you killed Saxon or not will effect something in the Bearer’s relationship development with her to some extent).
The million dollar question in Children of the Gods.
Though on the tumblr, @Rohie did say that Cally and Donny are the ones who can possibly make the first move on the Bearer, the other romances need to be initiated by the Bearer themselves.
She also said that there’s no in between with Sage; she either loves a person with a passion or hates them with a passion (it was even stated that Sage and Athena both share the mentality of ‘if I love you, then you’re mine’). And that while Sage doesn’t even want to consider the idea of having feelings for the Bearer, when she feels it, she lets it happen
Oh, and that it will be a uphill emotional, mental, and moral battle for Sage to admit she feels affection for the Bearer, who may or may not be her brother’s killer (@Rohie’s words).
I think you can guess how Ares feels about the Bearer dating Calypso (heck, he apparently dislikes the idea of the Bearer dating Cally more than Santiago dating her, and he isn’t fond of Santi’s nature either).
Ominously, it was stated on the tumblr that the other ROs’ Godly parent see their Favorite developing such a close bond with the Bearer as a opportunity, which puts the ROs in a rather vulnerable position…
Not sure how Avery’s parents themselves would react to their daughter being in a romantic relationship with the Bearer, though.
