Apparently I’m very attractive myself. But evidently I keep people at bay because my natural facial expression makes me look like a serial killer.
Words from multiple others, not me. Apparently someone I know from my course wants to make friendly jokes with me with a harmless sexual connotation like friends do but apparently my neutral expression makes him fear for his life. Yay for me, I guess.
And there isn’t much to do where I’m currently living. Or maybe there is and I just ignore it all to hole up in my apartment for days on end.
Probably the second one.
I scoff when I see people reading magazines like Cosmo, but I’d probably read that.
I think the question if the magic choice (dark, light, etc) does change anything came up at least two times. And suprisingly often people assume that Saint is a RO or ask who is a RO, etc. (And maybe mentioning that many questions about the Essence etc get answered in the history section of the stats is also useful…those things come up pretty often too)
These Questions are Subject to Change as New Updates are Released
How do you get _______ as a father? Hades: Kill the Seeker and have wit as your highest stat. Zeus: Kill the Seeker and have allure as your highest stat. Poseidon: Kill the Seeker and have strength as your highest stat OR do not kill the Seeker.
Who are the Romantic Options?
Aeson – Calypso – Avery – Sage – Adonis – Santiago
The fathers of each of the Romantic Options?
This is kind of spoiler-y so I’m really not comfortable putting it in an FAQ. This is answered in the ceremony in Chapter 7.
How to get magic items?
The first magic item you can receive (that isn’t purchased in the Prologue) is the Eye, which you can get by walking to stalls before you meet Aeson. Do not take the food. Take the mysterious object.
What happens if the Essence dies?
Both the Bearer and Bestower (you and Aeson, respectively) stop existing. You do not go to the Underworld, you just go into some sort of hibernation-stasis thing.
How does the Essence work?
This is covered pretty thoroughly in the “History” section of the stats screen, BUT – basically the Essence is the Big Bang. A long time ago, Cronus divided this Essence into two halves. The Bearer and Bestower. They have inhabited various mortals over and over again, never really remembering their past lives. Until now. You and Aeson.
Who is Saint’s mother?
Priscilla, though that hasn’t been stated in game yet.
What is Priscilla like? @Rohie has stated that she’s like a character that we didn’t like (at the time). IE: she is very similar in personality to Saint.
How does Godly DNA work?
There is none. What DNA gets passed down to their demigod children is through DNA they pick in mortal coils (to, erm, “create” the children). The gods actually aren’t related.
Will we be able to get all of the items?
Referencing post 1873: No. You will have to play multiple playthroughs for each one, because some are only available on specific Odysseys that you cannot complete in the same playthrough.
Can we romance Saint?
No. He’s your half-brother through your mortal parent. Gross.
Who is Saint?
Your half-brother. He is a child of one of the gods, who may or may not also be your parent, depending on your play style.
Does your choice of magic type do anything?
No, it’s purely cosmetic, to give the magic a different color and appearance.
What kind of flashbacks will there be with Aeson?
Why is this even asked so much? This is a huge spoiler, y’all.
What’s the difference between AP and normal classes?
None, except that with your AP classes, your stress stat will increase tenfold. I’m sure there’ll also be grades or something to give you a bonus for having taken the AP classes, but the scenes themselves will be the same.
Will we have more than just the Trojan War flashback?
Yes. See question 14.
What’s going on with the updates?
you’re not supposed to ask questions like that – it puts unnecessary pressure on authors within this forum and comes across as kind of rude. 2) @Rohie is actively rewriting the entire game from the ground up. A lot of things will be the same, but a lot of things will be different. Please be patient and look forward to the amazing update that is to come.
I though the very first magic items that the Bearer can get were the Mist of the Truth Springs or the Mirror of the Sea. Isn’t the necklace technically the 2nd magic item that Bearer can come across?
Technically speaking, but most people ask about the later magic items, rather than the first two, because those ones are rather self-explanatory. The game outright asks you if you wish to purchase anything
I can’t relate. I always thought he was rather insufferable. Granted, I was friendly to him later because Thora’s a friendly person, but I don’t understand the Saint love.
He just came off as very friendly and understanding. Unlike in some games, where you feel like you can’t trust ANYBODY, I feel like, for the most part, everyone in CotG is pretty honest. Not completely, but for the most part.
There’s only trust now because that’s all there can be if Thora is going to cooperate. At least that’s how she sees it. And Saint is the one who took her to Olympus; as friendly as he might be, he follows the orders and he would help the Gods.
Lol YOU ARE A TRUSTING PERSON… I was lying all my life they send assassins against me menacing me to kill me if i don’t do x tasks they Put a chipmunk to spy on me and drugged me in a party against my will EVERYONE IS SO FRIENDLY WHEN MENACING with kill me
I won’t argue about Saint being rather friendly. Considering the circumstances and how he most likely heard about the Bearer killing Seekers, he took a really big chance trying to take the Bearer in without using force and then letting them talk their side of the story about the Seekers.
Understanding though… feels like a stretch . If the Bearer has neutral views toward the Gods and Seekers, they rightfully point out that how the Group approached them was enough to warrant a defensive reaction from the Bearer (something Saint admits to not having thought about). There’s also the fact he is the one of the group who spouts off the most inconsiderate things to the Bearer, considering the Bearer’s possible mood for that moment. One particular moment that stuck out was when the Bearer approached the group about how Aeson was treated differently from them. Now all three laughed (which was a pretty strong kick to the crotch), but where Adonis tries to word things in a way that doesn’t make the Bearer feel any worse about how they were recieved, Saint ends up chirping in “and besides, Aeson’s not the one with the power to destroy the world” (NOT exactly the best time to bring that up Saint). And despite being the one to bring it up, he and the others don’t answer the Bearer when bring up that Aeson GIVES them that power and asks the group why that doesn’t make him partially responsible as well (this particular event with the group really is my least favorite).
I don’t hate Saint, but I certainly view him as a friendly child who doesn’t mean harm, but ends saying some really inconsiderate things at the worst timing.
That may be so, and I actually believe that to be the case. But Thora is understandably reluctant to trust these strange as fuck people, even though she wants to at the same time because such is her nature.
