Bloodlit Night is a dark fantasy story set in a world inspired by the early Victorian era, where you play as a vampire-like creature.
You have always survived the nights by doing odd jobs that someone like you could handle much better than any human could. One night, you get an unusually lucrative and most likely dangerous job offer, but the pay is far too good to refuse. So you set out to find the missing daughter of a wealthy nobleman, but a hunter seems to be on the same trail as you… Will you temporarily overcome your hostility and work together, or fight each other until there is only one left to get the job done?
You can play as a male or female character, and there are four romanceable characters (2 gender-selectable, 1 male, 1 female).
I very much like the realism of this IF. It’s not the hunters or the blackbloods that are the biggest threat, but the rent. And the landlord who arbitrarily increases it.
Anyway, it’s a great little WIP. There are vampires and hunters, an immediate mystery and some overarching ones, as well as Victorian fog. I’m looking forward for what’s coming next.
This was interesting to play. I would personally like more world-building, and background on the MC - but perhaps it can be added after Chapter One.
Looks like only two of the four romanceable characters were in Chapter One. And I was able to reach 3% on the relationship meter with the Hunter. Will it be possible to turn her, or another character, into a paleblood?
Looking forward to when it will be possible to play this in full! I wish you well in your efforts.
The writing is good and the story is interesting. I feel like I don’t know enough about the presented characters to be curious about them, but I am hopeful that there will be more details to flesh out the characters.
But honestly, this is my first choice script ever where having a character with dark skin led to discrimination that wasn’t unhinged OR glossed over.
It was done so tactfully, and it was very realistic. I really appreciate the detail.
Thank you for the feedback. I plan to give more worldbuilding and background in the next chapters, but I might add a little more later to the first chapter as well. The other romanceable characters will be introduced in the next chapter, and yes, it will be possible to turn at least one of them.
