@Dragongodess Yes! All the animals are native to California and current reptiles are rattlesnake, snapping turtle, horned lizard and gecko, plus one “large hidden reptile.”
@Eiwynn Okay, now you’ve got me checking my tinfoil hat for splits because I think you may be somehow hacking my brain stem and leeching information direct from the source. In other words, yes, there is peyote.

It won’t be in the same universe but I’ll probably be unable to resist slipping some little references in there… There’s already one character who is more or less a reincarnation of Guillaume from Ironheart - that’s my way of apologising to him for killing him off so early last time!
As in Ironheart, there will also be ocassional cameos from real historical figures. If, for example, you were wandering around California in the 60s with an animal-related nickname like The Lizard King, there’s a good chance I’m going to scoop you up and throw you in…

It’s fairly surprising to me that there’s no wolf choice (at least not hidden). Thought they were pretty normal in Northern California, plus, you know, wolf.

@COGZealot Thanks! The range of powers is likely going to be the trickiest part of writing this but I have some quite unusual mechanics planned to help with that. Will be sharing more details soon.
