I still don’t have it so planned out whether the MC knows about the Georgiana matter. I think I mentioned before that no, but now I see the possibility that they know if they’re a marquess since they have dealt with or are aware of Wickham’s acts in their marquisate. Also, the Marquess route cements a relationship of more years and familiarity with Darcy than with Bingley, allowing them to be part of the group of acquaintances - family - close associates, and therefore be able to be aware of the matter. But even with all that, if someone tried to do something like that to one of the MC’s sisters, it’s more than clear that the man wouldn’t come out very well, so to speak.
As for Lady Catherine, yes, the lady, due to her familiarity with the MC’s family, could act as some type of benefactor or aunt who worries about the MC in her own way as she worries about Darcy or her cousin Fitzwilliam. It wouldn’t be in the same bossy manner, more like trying to extinguish and bring about a sense of enlightenment and superiority by arguing that the MC should marry a refined lady, a duchess or princess.
I hope I made myself understood and answered your question satisfactorily - if not, let me know.
Thank you for answering my question and I have an idea you have stated the Marquess MC older sister is already married which leave the younger sister and younger brother and under the mc care so why not give us the option to choose to take them with us to the bingley estate so we will have early interactions younger siblings and also have the younger siblings see the countryside yes I know what I’m presenting will rewrite the prologue but is it a bad thing and also it is your story so you get to decide if you want to add my idea or not on your own pace
It would be hell on earth for me, having to rewrite absolutely everything I’ve done just to include what you’re saying.
Not only would it be unlikely, it would be impossible for the MC to do something like that - their 13-year-old younger sister would be at a ladies’ boarding school or under formal education.
The little brother is under the care of his mother in Leicestershire and his aya - he would have no place at an adult gathering and his mere presence would be against the etiquette of the era.
The MC’s siblings are not in society.
The idea is good and a perspective like that would be interesting. But Regency etiquette was extremely stratified and restrictive, and despite the MC being a marquess and etiquette adjusting to their own title, there are many rules that are not beneath them despite everything.
No, the mother is alive, the father died fighting on the mainland. What you saw was a reader proposing that the mc’s mother died and the father had remarried, to solve the age differences between the siblings.
Oh, When I got into this, I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much! God, I’m obsessed with reading more! I also love that we get to play as a gentleman from that era. it’s such an interesting twist for the Pride and Prejudice story
Something that really stands out to me is how incredibly important character creation is, which makes the game super replayable. The two backgrounds (Marquess or landowner) lead to very different stories, and there are more differences depending on things like whether you have great or terrible oratory skills, or if you’re clever or not. I bet the upcoming ball scene will offer even more branching options
The attention to detail is just amazing, and I really appreciate that. You can tell it was made with love, everything from the costumes, the historical era, the terminology, the customs! Not to mention the clear effort to stick to historical accuracy instead of going down the usual “modernized adaptation” route (except for the age thing, but that’s understandable, haha)
The only thing I regret is that the game ends right at a high point, just when the protagonist is about to speak with Elizabeth and Charlotte Lucas . You totally left me wanting more! Thank you for everything!
What’s with the asks about seducing Mrs Hurst? Mr Hurst might be a bit of an oaf, but he’s harmless; I don’t want to NTR the poor guy.
Would this involve the MC be playing as Old Yeller or another dog?
A Tarzan game could be fun, similar to the prehistoric-survival WIPS floating around now.
Going back to the main topic, I thoroughly enjoy what I’ve played so far–the level of detail, the NPC reactions to my character, everything. I eagerly await the next installment, @yamato1 . Brilliantly done!
Now that you mention that, forgive me if it’s been asked before.
How powerful MC’s position or influence across the country? Especially Marquess MC. From what I know, Marquess is position below King, Prince, Duke and then Marquess. The one below Marquess is, Count, Viscount and Baron.
Realistically speaking he still bow down to the King/Queen and Duke/Duchess, so I’m wondering does we ever going to touch that or no?
Another Question is, How much we can aura farm that you’ve planned here lmao
That’s a somewhat difficult question. If you play the common marquess route, then they would have the same influence and power as a normal marquess - their influence and power would be less than a duke in all senses, they would have fewer properties than a duke, less influence in the House of Lords, and would be related to regional rather than national politics. If you play the red dragon easter egg route, then the MC would be above dukes despite being a marquess, with more money, properties, ports, and judicial autonomy and in some administrative parts with respect to the crown and the rest of the island. In the House of Lords they have great influence and if they wanted to, although in general for the rest of the nobility, they and their house cause uncertainty because of their history.
That make sense for both MC.
I do feel like if we’re the Red Dragon MC, they could theoretically climb the ranks and even challenged The King’s monarchy if they ever wanted to, while it doesn’t feel realistic (and it shouldnt be ) MC’s whole dynasty and Position making him a strong candidate for coup too, If they have the ambition and reason that’s it. I’m assuming MC just don’t want more problem than it is or just don’t have enough reason. Anyway looking forward on how the Dragon MC is written. I want to aura farm even more like this guy.
