Assassins of Imortallia

The portals are meant to be ancient. For the sake of pre written story version the portals, are in major cities. The governor of the city has complete control over the portal that is to turn access in or off.

Still the assassins have their own means of transportation. Mainly looking for a means for the citizens. I can see rings needing to be used to access a portal. And mainly the rich or high class having them leaving the poor to bandits and risking the carriages and the likes.

The mean concerns it’s portals are the where, where will the gateways be located.

I need to refocus my thoughts to make this work properly. I’ve got an image just need to organize it. I do like the idea @faekless @Razgriz of sickness/risk coming with entry of the portals and unstableness with rapid use and destroying it in war.

@alexxo91 Glad your not too against the idea of the ancient portal idea =p I will see about platforms and the likes hmm multiple chambers of arches for each realm? o.o

@dark_stalker uh…yea…fraud this one is for civilians to put an ease on traveling around the city mainly as a means for royals and delegates to move through the massive lands. Sacrificing wouldn’t be in the theme of life I fear.

I’ll probably have the portals closed for much of the game, which half is left to be seen. But cha I guess it’s not really too necessary. Though I’m sure I had a good reason for needing them…

Anyhow exhausted from late work yesterday, just another…5 hours to plow through and then a power nap…waking up feeling sick and then finalize they portal system.

Teleporters hmm I could use teleportation spells couldn’t I…though in what context…would be the question.

Fine sacrifice animals that’s normal everyday civilian type things…

Oh Dark, what’ll I do with you. Alright. Time to formulate that portal.

This may get a little confusing so try to stay with me if you will :slight_smile:

Every major city (7 total, one of which is the capitol) has a Pavilion (A large enclosed space where the portals are held.) Per realm. (country). Each Pavilion contains seven large portals. The Pavilion themselves are quite enormous and located inside and near the city centre or outside the city; overseen by the Gate Keepers. (Magi’s with the ability to keep control and maintenance of the portals)

Each of the portals are designated to/from a major city in the realm, allowing one to transverse the entire realm individually. The capitols pavilions are the master pavilions through them they can seal and control all access throughout their entire individual realms.

Separate realms may traverse one another through the major city portals. Magi’s from each realm are sent in such specific areas in an embassy like fashion. This assures the assessment of who and what is incoming/outgoing from a realm.

As for the problems with using the portals. The entire pavilion can only allow a certain amount of mass total coming from all the portals at once. The portals must also not be used in rapid succession. Avoiding these warnings will cause the portals to become unstable. Users of the portal take a risk in using it also. Animals at times also tend to be affected. Mainly those with low control of their essence.

Picture this…without the…strings and rectangle…replaced with more…portally…look. Still deciding weather they’ll be arched…or the exact details, but yea. The platforms hits it pretty head on.

oooh i like this idea! Plus since there are only so many portals that can be fitted into one room (if they lal only have one entrance and exit) then it would create hub cities which would be similar to major airports in that you would have to go there to book a flight to certain places

You can imagine the panic it can soe if anything went wrong. But besides that point. Even with the ancient feel of the portal use, it still gives that modern taste with the business and number of people.

Who created it perhaps why?

Any other basic information is welcomed. Note: The first two questions are generally the only one that needs to be done, the rest are optional :slight_smile: Although keep in mind all ideas for the art may be altered a bit to fit in with the game.

I’ve been playing Shadows of Mordor recently and it made me think that a game with two different factions at war that you can manipulate through mind controlling members would be really cool. That is probably not going to be made, but It’d be kinda cool to have some mind control powers in this game.

Like, a short term one for just getting people to do something quickly, like forgetting the saw you or something, and maybe a long term one that allows you to make someone into a devoted ally, but it requires you to do some sort of long involved ritual.

@arcania are you keeping the old spells and characters?

@Shoelip Such things do exist in the game, but they are known as Forbidden Spells. As they are kinda cheat. I mean does that not make assassinating your foe that much easier when you can affect their mind? It’ll be put in after game as a more extreme mode on things.

@alexxo97 Yes, yes I am. ^-^. To an extent of course, Artemis is being remade in a more perfected state, brought more to life and given more of a personality. The other characters and created npc’s would prob be added in later.

Assassins Legacy although having its setbacks over the course of its remake, is going smoothly.

Some explaining that should go into things. And answers to questions brought up over the course of the past few months… First, instead of completely deleting this game, I will eventually see about running through it with a spell check to clean up much of its spelling and correcting the bugs where they can be found Eventually.

This version of assassins legacy is set in Imortallia. The same setting as The Royal Legacy. However this game takes place in its past. To fully understand things, I fear you will either have to wait for the scenes in the remake when it is released, (it will be on a separate thread) or when I get back to developing this version. Furthermore the world that the remake takes place in is called Elementia. It has a few modern affects mixed into things, not to be compared with our world of course :slight_smile:

Next up is the main character. (MC). The MC’s in this version and the remake can be the same people. And they can also be separate. There is nothing said in the game that will contradict this. The way the games are connected, The Nexus helps to solve that issue. Of course as stated earlier, we can leave that detail for later.

Umbra and Divine assassins. To ensure the least bit of confusion in the game only slight adjustments will be done in this version for divine assassins. Divine assassins will be considered assassins that work for the church, which in this game is called The Divine Order. In the other legacies, references are given to the divine assassins, but they go by different names.

Next up spells and the assassin armory.

  • The spellbook has been remastered. The spells that everyone helped to create will be in the new version although some may not be available in the game due to complications. Although I’m very much welcoming new spell creations to be done by NPC’s and otherwise.
  • The assassins armory. After much thought that has gone into it…the MC will be limited to only a few weaponry. Although you can later replace it with higher grade material or place a rune inside. The main things to point out here are these things.
    • There might be a smithing section added. Where the MC can gather materials and smith their own gear, materials, repairs and the likes. This connects with alchemy.
    • In combat as the MC ā€œlevels upā€ they can learn more…techniques to fit their fighting styles. Same goes for using magic. Just becuase you throw a fireball at someone doesn’t mean its gonna be oh so powerful and instakill them. Especially duringā€¦ā€œboss fightsā€ where things are more in depth.

Next up in the clarification process. The game is planned to be very…very… in depth. Things will work in arcs. So not to become so overwhelming. There is planned to be Five Arcs or books in the assassins legacy series. So this will be a very long process.

  • Something to note here. Updates will come by weekly. (New chapter/scenes) that is. I will always be at least 1 or 2 chapters ahead of whatever is released. (partly why the game is taking quite a bit to be revealed)

Nearly done here…there is the matter of crossovers in the game. In the shadows of the forums much discussion has gone on to prepare for crossovers. As the game progresses you’ll be met with offers to travel through The Nexus. This will take you to different cog games which have been pre-prepared and arranged. You will assassinate a target in the game and hopefully not get stuck there, by choice or otherwise. This assassination will be noted in both games. Look forward to it.

Also instead of starting out at a high rank, Master Veteran Assassin, you will be starting from the very bottom, with barely the clothes on your back. Time to make a name for yourself.

And finally. (for now) Some things in bound. The familiar is planned to be changed. And something to note, if the MC dies the familiar dies as well, the two of you are bound. Other than that your familiar can not die. I’m not that heartless :smile: , so no worries there will always be a little bit of loyal light in your world. I’m still locking on as to what creature should be the new familiar, feel free to offer some suggestions. Speaking of Death I hope to make some good Epilogues for when the MC dies in different ways.

I am also planning to have the MC have their own sanctuary. This is still in consideration mind you. But if it is implemented. What choices would you like to have when you have your own sanctuary? What kind of things do you want to do here? Who do you want to have be here with you? Do you want the choice of whether to have it above ground or underground? Are you prepared to load tons of crowns to make it into practically a city? Are you cautious as to what is nearby? Let me know in the comments below. If I die the familiar dies… I’m ok with that.
I want assassination classes and research labs in my sanctuary and I get to set rules, ranks, pay, outfit and benefits. I will be worshipped as the second coming of Asura or Asura will not have a presance.
