A Witch's Path (WIP)

I think Warlock is cooler.

I’d rather be called sorcerer or mage. Maybe Wizard but that would be too Harry Potter-ish for my taste…

Well,as far as I know, the male term for Witch is Warlock.

Also,Warlock sounds better than Wizard or Sorcerer.

My point is that it’s weird to be called a witch being a straight male. Oh, and btw, Warlock fits best, though i do prefer mage…

Witch is just someone that uses magic, historically both males and females have been called witches. I don’t see anything wrong with it myself

Witch,Warlock,Mage,Sorcerer…I couldn’t care less about the name.

As long as we get to wear pointy hats,I’m fine with whatever I’m called.

But it’s perfectly okay for a gay guy to be a witch?

Mage, sorcerer, and wizard (and enchanter, conjurer, etc.) all have different connotations to witch and warlock, and it would be best not to use them interchangeably. For that matter, witch and warlock differ from one another as well, but to a lesser extent. But either way, it’s the author’s world, and if they say men can be witches, then men can be witches. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Apparently, but unfortunately I seem to have lost out on our presumed power to “corrupt” innocent, young and cute straight guys and turn them gay.

I like sorcerer and warlock best.
But witch is okay, although I’m probably influenced by our modern pagans and wicca sects on this point.
So while I would prefer warlock for a male “witch” I can live with my guy being called a witch too.

I’m talking about preferences, if someone wants to be called witch, so be it. What i’m saying here is that i’d rather be called something else. Btw, i dislike playing as other gender/sexuality than my own, i don’t see any disrespect in it, i just want to customize my character to something closer to myself and choose to do things like i normally would. Now, forgive me if i offended you or anyone else somehow. Oh, and i see that witch fits both genders now, thank you.

I find i’d like being a male witch.

…Then again, i also think being a male Queen would be awesome.

Well you can still be straight but sadly you will be called Witch no matter your gender because sorcerers/wizards/warlocks are a different species than witch in this story, which is inspired by the show Charmed

Lol you will be able to wear a witch hat during your Coven ceremony, in normal wear tho you will wear a hat similar but different because if you did wear a pointy hat might as well wear a T shirt saying your a witch for the witch hunters :joy:

lol i call myself a queen because of Cake from adventure time :joy:. I’m always saying “Ha! I’m a queen!” Or in video games with friends im like “Ya! Bow down to the queen B&~€£#%!” Lol

Being Queen would be great. All the perks of Royalty with none of the responsibility.

(That is, so long as the Queen isn’t the one in charge and King is, in which case I’d want to be King.)

nah, I’d rather be a rogue than a queen.

I messed up. Meant to say King is. I fixed it though.

Being able to live with it, and being motivated to take enough interest in it to pay for it are two different things. Like you I’d much rather play a warlock or a druid than a male witch as I’ve said elsewhere, including in that discussion you linked above. And the fact that a lot of men are going to see “play a witch”, make a snap judgment, and immediately move on to the next title on the list is something an author should be cognizant of early on when considering the size of their potential audience.

On the other hand that doesn’t mean the author should necessarily change a thing. And given the author’s own commitment to producing a game inspired by the television show Charmed, the author’s approach is both perfectly reasonable and understandable.

Not all of the perks. The downside of all your power coming from your spouse is that your spouse can do as they please while your entire life revolves around keeping their favor. They can restrict your movements to “protect” you, cheat on you at will, and even have you executed if you anger them or simply become too inconvenient.
