This, relationships are overrated in IF they would never equal IR relationships. Itās why Demon Recollect is one of my favorite, you just be a badass with a cool talking sword smashing people good or bad and story revolves on your badassery just unapologetic fiction.

@Jjcb Hi i just started playing your game yesterday and have just finished my second playthrough, just wanted to say i really enjoy your writing and the fact this is your first CYOA story is astounding you should be incredibly proud of yourself 
I did a aki romance on my first playthrough and a lat on my second and i have to say i really enjoyed the different pacing for the two romances, keep up the great work

Hey everyone, small heads-up.
No update yet, but one is coming in January. I just wanted to let you all know that Iām gonna take out the Nova plotline, at least as it stands right now. I donāt particularly like it, and Iāve been struggling a lot with how to present its characterization of Nova while also allowing the player to be a driving force in the narrative.
I still have plans to introduce Novaās family, but it wonāt be in this specific scenario. The upcoming update will instead focus on Mars, and for those of you dating Aki, the dreaded Forlorn conversation.

@Jjcb I think i found a small syntax error in the games code i managed to get this conversation but didnāt get the +25 relationship boost with seeker. I think its because of the parentheses around the seeker +25 but i could be wrong
No, thatās not a stat boost, itās a stat check. Basically, the game has two different dialogues to show you.
Each one gives a āhintā about whatās running through Forlorn or Seekerās mind. To get the comment about Forlorn, you need his relationship to be higher than the sum of Seekerās plus an artificial +25 points in that moment.
The +25 is meant to be a meta hint about just how much of Seekerās mind is consumed by thoughts of Victoria.

So true about Lat. U even get a second chance for ro if u didnāt dance with her. She was just too shy to say anything this whole time. At least she managed to accept being turned down well considering the courage it taken to finally say something instead of the situation being similar to Seeker and Ignis

Just passing by to remind everyone that an update will be posted on the 31st. It wonāt exactly balloon the word count (since I did basically delete the whole Nova portion), but itāll be a start, and if everything goes how I expect, Iāll maybe be able to post yet another in February.
And in the context of that update, Iām writing one of those long questionnaire conversations with Mars, so I wanted to give you guys the chance to have an effect.

Mars gets by with just a pair of ear buds, and music to muffle some of the hyper senses he must contend with, but I guess a good question to ask is why he hasnāt enlisted someone to help develop a way to muffle things further. Nova, if interested, could probably come up with some sort of subtle protective gear for the job. Iām sure there are others out there who would do the same, since this is partly an accessibility thing. Mars tolerates a lot, but shouldnāt have to if he needs the space to just be sometimes.

Heads-up: Iām basically done with the update. Iām maybe a thousand or a thousand and a half words short of where Iām planning to end it.
Iām going to sit down later today to hammer it out, so if Iām lucky, it could be done either tonight or tomorrow. As soon as itās done, Iāll post it here.

Iāve just read this story and it is pretty ok. I think the pacing is being dragged down by mishandling exposition otherwise itās an ok story.
I feel like we are not even at the middle of the story, yet. It feels kind of odd since a lot had already been written but we werenāt even introduced to the main villain and the story lacks a serious antagonistic force at this moment, so I feel like the story still sets the stage for the main conflict which is why it feels like we are in the beginning portion of the story.
I have gone through the majority of the cast and I donāt feel a strong connection with anyone other than Forlorn. It kind of upsets me that he is not an RO. He is soooooo hot. I really want to be able to romance him, but itās probably not going to happen at this point.
Btw, I really donāt get what people see in Ignis. I donāt know if itās a me thing but seeing her pine hard for another person have turned me off hard. At that point, I realised that if I had tried to romance her Iād be nothing but a fling - someone to warm her bed. You donāt go for people that have eyes only for one person, people. They will only use you as a plug in their heart but they donāt search for a you shaped plug, if you catch my meaning. But her romance with Seeker was really sweet. Some really heart pumping moments have happened between them and Iām glad for her.
I feel like the romance could have been handled better, as well, since the dialogue and narration that even acknowledges that we have a thing going on only happens when we are hanging out and nowhere else. Iād feel like we would care a lot more in a romance with Aki during chapter 5 when Forlorn freaks out or if we are romancing Mars and weāre seperated and under attack. But it is as if it donāt really matter that we are a thing since we act and feel the same no matter our relationship and it makes me kind of sad. I want a sweet moment with my ro as well, dammit!
