Will there be a poly option?

The only poly options are Lat and Aki and Nova and Mars (not implemented yet). But the author said that the poly between Lat and Aki can only happen if you romance Aki first in Book 1 and then you start romancing Lat in Book 2 because you need to have Aki warm up to the idea of a poly relationship because of how shy she is and she needs someone like the MC to bring up her confidence enough to be willing to enter a poly relationship.

I can see the author maybe adding some dialogues for Book 1 that you can pick that will set up the foundation of a poly relationship between those two so that when Book 2 comes, we can actually start the poly route with those two since some of it will already be set up at that point. But that’s only if the author decides to add some dialogues like that. In a way, that would be similar to the poly routes for Bly/Dena and Tiva from ā€œWerewolves 2: Pack Mentalityā€ where if you romance either Bly or Dena from Book 1 and starts romancing Tiva in Book 2, you can talk about a poly relationship between Tiva and Bly/Dena but it won’t start until Book 3.

Honestly loved your story. I enjoyed the other romances i just think id personally appreciate a poly route between the 2 female ros and the 2 male ros. I love the way our character progresses in terms of power. The story howver t times feels more like a book then an IF our character can feel like they have very little personality. The other characters however feel very fleshed out in comparison to our mc. Still im excited for the next update

Good news, Mars/Nova and Lat/Aki poly routes are in the pipeline (though not this early on).

I got a question after you are looking for nova is it supposed to say 404 then have the play again options?

There’s no proper end screen, so that 404 is the end of content.

NGL, their background makes me want to write a fanfic or two.

The condom incident thanks to Mrs. Nakamura is hilarious.

What/where is this ā€œincidentā€ you speak of? :eyes:

Honestly though, I love Lat. And the fact that I’m a fan of the first-girl-wins trope is a big factor.

If you wait for the second chance to lock in Lat, she mentions a few tidbits on their backstory at the arcade and when hanging out with her and Aki.

Pretty good, shame that we’re stuck playing as a more normal hero though. It would’ve been really cool if there were option to act more like Homelander or Omni-Man.

We won’t be really going into the… fascist overtones of Homelander or the supremacism spouted by Omni-Man through the MC (though we’ll definitely be on the receiving end of such diatribes), but there’s definitely gonna be less traditional heroic moments later on in the story, when the MC isn’t under the League’s strict supervision.

I keep saying you’re gonna copy Bolivar for a reason.

I look forward to calling BS to any side of the spectrum’s justifications.

ā€œThere is no room for compromise. We walk the path of the light side, or we fall into darkness. There is no gray area, Ben.ā€ (Fate of the Jedi)

There’s something immensely satisfying to playing an Aquinian in a world of Nietzsches.

I mean we had one moment already where we can beat up the controlled mobs badly if we really want to…

That’s true, but even then that was… relatively low scale. A few hundred people, at most.

In the future, that might be the losses even in the good decisions.

I don’t know if you’ve played Mass Effect, but we are very much facing a Reaper-esque threat in terms of devastation.

I actually have a Palaven quote repurposed for Forlorn and his kin somewhere…

ā€œThe [redacted] insist that [redacted] is not lost—the battle has merely moved to the cities. Enemy troop transports have been able to land unopposed for days, and are moving to capture the few surviving inhabitants of [redacted] and [redacted], but have found little success. The main armoured contingents are destroying city after city, but much of the [redacted] fleet remains operable, the conscript army continues to contest what it can, and the citizenry is heavily armed and motivated. The [redacted] refuse to let their death be a gentle one.ā€

On a less somber (probably funny, if you’re mean :unamused:) note, I’ve come to the knowledge that I pronounced ā€˜Giga’ incorrectly, and the correct way is… uh…

I’m renaming the city, we shall leave it at that. :slightly_smiling_face:

With the next update, you’ll be a resident of San Victoria City, named after the spanish Saint Victoria. I’ll expand on that lore later, but yes this would mean Spain had some presence in that part of North America.

Also, I’ve noticed there are some comments about alt-his in the story being limited only to the Aegean with Crete. That’s not strictly true, but it is true I’ve not made a super great job mentioning the really distinct aspects of the setting from the OTL.

Here are a few examples of alt-his from the book (some old, some new), but I’ll see if I can add a bit more mention of all these changes retroactively and into the next chapters:

-Hokkaido is an autonomous region of Japan, with the Ainu as a prosperous and recognized group in the country following a revolt during the American Occupation.

-The Kingdom of Norway became independent a whooping 100 years before doing so irl, there was no Sweden-Norway Union (rest in piss Bernadotte).

-The Mali Empire’s expedition to South America did succeed.

-Cuba is not under an American embargo. It was broken by ā€˜powered terrorists’ during the Missile Crisis and not restarted afterwards.

-The First Emperor of China did not die. He disappeared. The fall of the Qin Dynasty was due to in-fighting between pretenders.

-The Yom-Kippur War did not happen in this universe.

I’m failing to grasp. Is it because the end sounds similar to the n-word’s?

Santa Victoria City, surely?

Nah, it’s a Spanish thing. ā€˜Giga’ in spanish would be pronounced as Jiga, which isn’t how you pronounce it in English.

Oh, yeah, stupid brainfart. Santa Victoria.

Chapter 2 questions

I’ve just started the demo, currently at chapter 2, but I am really confused on why President is so headset on slandering the hero organisation with his own hands.
First of all, he shows himself as a weak and incompetent leader. As I understood, the organisation in question is acknowledged by the government and frequently works hand in hand with it. Why he says that ā€œhey, we acknowledge a basically terrorists who are horrible and they are horrible unruly people but we not gonna do shit with itā€?
Then, why keep them near yourself when showing them something that slanders them? They are near omnipotent and some of them have troubles with controlling themselves. That’s weird.

Why didn’t he used more subtle methods? Why don’t he just use them?

Maybe I read something wrong or haven’t understood correctly, sorry in advance.
