Thanks for the reply also I’m not sure if this was mentioned or not who are the romance options?
No problem!
The five possible romances are:
- Lady Catherine D’Arundel
- Annabel Felicity, apprentice fortune teller
- Grimbald Swetemouth, alchemist
- Isolda Thornfrithe, dancer
- Squire Tyto Argent
Now how can you go about romancing them? Also this is one of the best storys from choice of games I have ever read in a long time
Thank you!
The key trigger for the romances is asking for a favour from them to carry in the tournament. You’ll need to be on reasonably good terms with them to have the option to ask in the first place.
I just finished my first playthrough. Got to romance lady Catherine will be starting my second playthrough
This game confused me looking at the stats after finishing I didn’t really meet much characters as I should have! Oops
Well written but too small… romance was good for the first playthrough… after the first playthrough… romance seems to be the same(dialogues and stuff)…not sure about Catherine route though…loved the game tho
@Mutantbeth It’s impossible to meet everyone in a single playthrough, if that’s any consolation.
@Samael_Blackblade Glad you enjoyed it!
Life of a Mercenary is free.
But I agree. I can never understand these people. It’s not for lack of warning. Playstore says right there that there are purchases inside the app, and it’s one of the first things the app tells you when you open it. Some people are just mean or lazy, or both.
Can’t believe I just googled kirtle and cloak, doublet and hose
I do wonder if I should add an in-game explanation for those. Did they confuse anybody else?
I was just a wee bit confused by it, I will admit But nothing a good ol’ google search can’t fix.
So before I buy, tell me about the fae >w<
They’re pretty central to the game! Most of the core relationships you can form are with them, except for Lady Catherine.
What sort of thing would you like to know?
Ohh interesting~ I was really curious about the romance part but anything Fae related is my favorite so that’s why I asked.
Without spoiling too much, there are six Fae you can form close relationships with - four of them romances - as well as some others who form a major part of the plot.
a question, please! Can we actually kill the fairy lord that kidnapped our sister? I seemed to fail everytime, and in the end had always been forced to come back and serve as his knight
There is no way to the MC to kill him, you can only gain a battle of wits. But if your companion is Isolda and if you succeed her quest, she will be able to kill him.
One other hint that might help: the difficulty of facing the Lord of Aconite isn’t fixed. You can defeat him with quite low values if you avoid both irritating him and becoming poisoned.
absolutely loved this! it’s very light hearted and relaxing to read, I haven’t read anything in a while and this was very pleasing. and your writing style, it’s very intriguing. and also, tyto is very much my favorite! ah, love at first sight. I loved the way he spoke very much.
though, I noticed a few mistakes. for one;
during the feast my character was noticed by geoffrey, but later on after the scene ended I got the avoid discovery achievement. I’m not sure if that’s supposed to happen but I wanted to point it out.
also when lady catherine asks if you need any help with training before the tournament, and choose training in archery there was a little mistake in her name.
thank you for writing this and hopefully you’re staying safe!
