180 Files: The Aegis Project (spy/thriller) (new short demo 24 Feb)

I don’t pronounce it at all. Like, not even in my head. All the number names just tend to stay in my brain as an image rather than a sound.

My official author word is that you can pronounce them any way that sounds best to you

Not sure, really. I threw ‘Four’ in to indicate familiarity.

So I was talking with @HomingPidgeon about how Hex is just the best and we got onto the topic of Trent and we’re kinda curious… What did he think of the show he was on? 313 says is a “so bad it’s good” show but do the actors on the show know that?

He’s still on the show, it’s still going! I guess some of the actors think of it as an ‘anything for a paycheck’ job, but I like to think Trent is sincere. He’s doing it for you, his fans.

Follow up: how did Hex feel about it? Did they have to awkwardly avoid making comments about its quality for the run of the relationship? Answering “did you like the new episode” with “it sure looked fun to make”?

Thinking about it like that I feel like Hex might be more inclined to say outright ‘lol your show is dumb’ (get a better gig).

Hex: Trent, your show is awful.

Trent: Awfully… good?

Hex: … This is why I dumped you.

Having some free time I’ve played through your demo again and found those 2 little buggers, in case you’re interested ;p

I played this demo and i have to say its great. But i want to play it a second time but i have a question

In my first playthrought my relationship with Angel was 9% but now even if i take the same choices i dont get more than 5%. Was that in the beginning a bug or did i miss something. Is there a possibility to get 9% in the first chapter or is there another way to get the 9% (in another chapter) PS even i i get the kissing scene i have just 5%

There aren’t actually many opportunities to raise the Angel relationship in chapter 1 ( since they’re planning to kill you and don’t care to get attached), though there are other stats set in that chapter that Angel will remember later. I think the only rel boosts come from the conversation options when you choose to leave them behind, where a flirty or cocky option will get a little approval.

I don’t know if it’s too late to make suggestions for the final game but would it be at all possible to make it more clear that you need to focus on raising two stats during the casino part? I normally try to focus on one stat when I play and I feel really bad when I get that cop killed… poor dude just doing his job.

He’s not dead, if that makes you feel better. Just injured.

And some things have changed in the new version so it may be a moot point.

Oh gosh, yes that makes me feel so much better! I always assumed Angel killed them off screen since they were knocked out… Phew…

I might have to go back and check my own notes  but I think Angel would have been preoccupied with the MC and probably was going to leave that to the mooks.

Wait, they do say they’re going to kill Petrovich but haven’t yet. So I think the same would go for the cop. And then they don’t even mamage to kill the MC :pensive: that’s what you get for being extra, Angel.

That’s amazing. I love it. Angel’s worst enemy is their own sense of drama. I hope the MC can use that against them.

See, I think the plan was:

  1. Petrovich is probably no use to DIABLO. However, this situation has attracted attention from both the police and the IIA.
  2. Find the IIA agent.
  3. Try to push them in conflict with the police
  4. When that’s taken care of, neutralise the IIA agent.
  5. Kill the agent, but slowly enough to give you time to get away.
  6. Get the mooks to make sure the agent is dead, then kill P and the cop.
  7. By this time reinforcements will have arrived, leaving the mooks to take the fall for the murders.
  8. The confusion should muddy traces of Angel’s and DIABLO’s involvement in the situation. (even if the mooks are taken alive and decide to talk they can be taken care of later)

And they would have gotten away with it too, if not for that meddling MC! :stuck_out_tongue:

So what you’re saying is if they hadn’t waited for the MC to wake up before using the alligators their plan probably would’ve worked… they really were defeated by their own flair for the dramatic… God, I love Angel.

Omg I never actually thought of that! :joy: But you’re right! There was literally no need to wait for the MC to wake up! This is why you don’t do the villain monologue, Angel!

Perhaps deep down Angel love MC , and couldn’t really kill MC instantly … hence Angel Came out with a self deceptive villanous plan that hang MC for dramatic purpose , in order to give MC a chance to save him/herself… well if MC can’t even escape from this simple dilemma of aligators , MC didn’t deserve the attention of Angel anyway right ?

Since MC escape, Angel will be thinking " He/she didn’t disappointed me at all, it is fun having MC around " :-):joy:

In addition, it is a perfect excuse to disguise the fact that Angel let MC get away when her boss ask about it :-):stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, that’s pretty much exactly what starts to get them interested in the MC!
