Emma can survive, but her death is mandatory in several endings, most importantly ending nine, where you stay at the cathedral without starting a cult or creating a vaccine

If you choose to leave the cathedral and don’t have the vaccine, the only way for her to survive is if you choose to head towards the helicopter. Similarly, if you don’t successfully make the vaccine and stay at the cathedral, the only way for her to survive is if you start a cult. Having the vaccine means she’ll always survive, yes

The Part 4 beta has been updated. The University scavenging mission continues in chapter 14, but I have also continued with chapter 15 to reveal more of the main plot.

Same error here. There weren’t really any choices made, just reading text. I did have nephew and pet, if that matters.
