Hey there! Cool game, so far!
I’m SO grateful to be able to select for the MC to be a demi-god or an actual god. In ALL stories of that type I’ve read before, the MC was a demi-god, and it was frustrating. Being able to have a true god MC is a breath of fresh air!
With that being said, could it be possible to decide of the physical traits of the MC (for example around the same time as the height)? Things like hair, skin and eye colors and so on, I mean.
Generally speaking, I like the pacing of the story, but I think flashbacks to the Underworld will be very important in the future, because as it is, if the MC is meant to say in Olympus for the duration of the story, there is no attachment to the Underworld whatsoever, especially considering the MC doesn’t seem to enjoy the place, with him complaining or being scared of the screams of the dead, and all of these things, and with his siblings hating or disregarding him. The ONLY reasons to be loyal to the Underworld would be either if one TRULY adores Nyx, or in case of an MC who’s blindly loyal to his birthplace and disregards their own feelings.
If we get flashbacks to the MC’s past in the Underworld alongside the present timeline on Olympus, we’ll be able to get to care for both realms.
If it was me, I’d probably also add one or two ROs in the Underworld, but I can understand how that would be hard or impossible, especially since a present time romance wouldn’t really work in that case.
Also, it would be nice to know more about the MC’s other parent? We know about Nyx, but who’s the father? If the MC is a demi-god, it’s easy to imagine a random human. But with a full fledged divine MC like mine, I’m REALLY curious about the father.
That aside, I would have kind of liked more variety to how to react to both Hades and Zeus…
More inquiries to Hades for example, and more neutral or maybe positive reactions to Zeus. Aside from the blindly loyal MC type I’ve mentionned before, there is no true reason for the MC to be offended at how Zeus talks about Hades - sure, he may think that it was rude, since it was, but I see no reasons to be angry or offended himself. And I’m sure some MC’s could also be very angry at Hades for disregarding their feelings, forcing that mission onto them etc, and would have an equally bad opinion about him as Zeus does. Others may want to reassure Zeus they are not like Hades, be it sincere or as part of a ploy to make themself liked.
Overall, I guess the game would benefit from a wider variety of choices about how the MC feels or how they adress people, now that I think of it
I’m eager for the MC to be actually able to talk to Ares though, since he’s the RO I’m interested in!
You sold me with that:
I have a peculiar sort of love for ROs that are not smart (bonus points if they are considered pretty dumb by other characters). So yeah, the choice was obvious!
Also, small error, I believe:
After the meeting with Zeus at the end of the current WIP, Apollo says: “Besides, charm works so much better at intimidation, anyway, don’t you think, Father?”
I think it was meant to be “charm works so much better than intimidation”?
