Thanks! It is fixed now.
I have one suggestion and three questions.
First of all, how about preparing a reform to set up a modern police force for the proposal? In the real world Napoleon era, the Paris Police Department was established in 1800, and the London Police Department was established in 1829, which was a transitional period to modern police. So I think it makes sense to deal with that issue in this game as well.
The first question is what reforms and policies are there in this game? Is there anything other than what has been announced so far?
The second question is what is the empireâs economy? (Specifically, currency, industry, economic structure, economic policy, etc.)
The third question is, what exactly are the contents of Chapters 2 and 3? Please tell me as specifically as possible.
@Paradox1 Thanks! I fixed them.
@11110
There is no police force at all in Riyasan, but the Imperial government is working on it. (you will need to become a minister to interact with it)
As for reforms, I will add more as I properly think about the next chapters, as such I really canât tell you since there is nothing much to tell.
The economy is not doing great. Riyasan just fought a bloody and costly war 20 years prior and its fleet was decimated. There are tensions arising between Riyasan and Maemana Empire which is causing an arms race.
The rebuilding of the fleet and more defence expenditure on the army is a heavy burden on the treasury. This is an issue and you will have to deal with when you are the Sovereign.
In chapter 2, you have the choice to either be an army officer or a minister, and because of that there will be 2 completely different version of chapter 2.
If you are an officer then you will have to learn military strategies and tactics, deal with the soliders under your command, be responsible for their morale and discipline, and keep them alive.(You will also get to spend time with Lady Hortena)
If you are the minister, (of Dept. of Intelligence) then you will learn about paperwork and bureaucracy, deal with plots threatening the Empire, see how the Dept. operates, and decide the fate of separatists, traitor, orators or anyone else the Dept. caught
The names of various countries are coming out, but what kind of countries are there in this game?
Here are all the names of the foreign nations. They will be properly introduced in the 2nd chapter. (there is a map in the stats screen. It does not have any borders yet, but itâll give a rough idea of where is what country. If you have a slow internet, it may take a bit long to load)
- Kingdom of Angesa
- Maemana Empire
- Republic of Forli
- Kingdom of Fez
- United Cities of Sambron
The level of technology is in the 1780s, but what kind of technology do you have? (For example, does a steam engine exist, what is the level of medical science, etc.) What are the specific policies regarding science and technology?
Yes, steam engines exist but they are only used as pumping engines and are a new technology. Their applications for militaristic and economic purposes will be of value to the game.
As for medical sciences, you need to ask more specifically. What do you want to know about in the medical sciences?
As for policies, I really canât say much as I will need to read and reread a lot of things to make well written proposals and their consequences which I canât do now. But I will get back to you when I have them properly thought out
For example, do blood transfusions, anesthesia, and disinfection exist? What is the level of surgery? Do stethoscopes and vaccinations exist? Also, if these technologies exist, are they empirical or do they know the scientific principles?
So ⌠can we create our own religion or create a derivative of those that already exist? I ask because it would be great, you could create a âholy bookâ and bribe priests to change to the religion we create
The idea of a blood transfusion exists and some scientists have experimented on animals but the first human transfusion hasnât happened yet.
Anesthesia is basically opiates and some herbs mixed together and no disinfectant is used as germ theory hasnât been developed yet.
Surgery is just controlled butchery as of yet.
Stethoscopes are not invented yet, doctors just press their ear to listen to the patientsâ bodies.
Vaccines donât exist but there are rumours that the nomads of kingdom of Fez deliberately fall ill so they could be immune to the disease. Most scientists of the world think this is a silly idea.
@KingKaiser_8000
You canât make your own religion like you can in the War of the West, but you can establish a new philosophical cult like the cult of the supreme being.
You can bribe or kill priests to do your bidding but they wonât change their holy books.
More scenes with lady phida or however you pronounce her house name
I was thinking about that game when I asked you the question
There will be more scenes with her in the 2nd chapter (assuming you became an officer) and I will add more conversations options with her in the 1st chapter when my exams are over.
And Pella is the same as Pella, the ancient city of Macedonia, or if you have heard the phrase,
âNow you got the pan hellenist from Pella, hella pissedâ.
Vive lâEmpire!
I gonna make Riyasan Caliphate
The Sovereign Caliph has a nice ring to it!
Are there any consequences in choosing to join the army over the bureaucracy and vice versa?
In the grand scheme of story, no.
If you were to join the army then you would be better at military stuff and will meet new characters.
If you were to choose bureaucracy then you will better at being a bureaucrat and meet other characters.
The characters you did not have the chance to meet will be then introduced later on.
So in short, only minor differences in terms of plot, major difference in terms of experience.
I have questions on the subject of consorts and marriage
-
What should I do to get married? Is it just going to the consortâs father and asking about her son / daughter?
-
Since I am a king, is it mandatory that I marry someone from the nobility? Will I be able to marry a âcommonerâ in the game?
-
Do arranged marriages still exist in this world?
-
What if the king of one kingdom marries the queen of another kingdom? these kingdoms come together?
