My only criticism on the Act 1 is that it seems too fast, I didn’t really get a chance to care for any of the characters namely Lucille and Shawn it feels like I’m supposed to care about them especially when (spoilers) I get to pick whether or not I deem them worthy of turning into a vampire like me that’s a big first step for MC and just feels like it happens a little too quickly.I think this will probably be amended after the time skip but it feels lacking in this department at this point in time.

Ill think of adding character development in-between their intro and roach arc.
Give you a possible chance of unlocking a major evolution early as well.

You’d read that vampires can heal their own bite marks. You just never had reason to test it until now.
And this
You lean down and run your tongue once over the wound. It seals. You’ve read that vampires can close their own bite marks. Useful, when you don’t want to leave a body or a story.
The second should not repeat the “can close bite marks” if the MC already drank Lucille’s blood. (2nd paragraph is from drinking the bunny.)
