(WIP) Path of Martial Arts: The Beginning (Dark, Eastern Fantasy | 750k words)

They were said to be rank 1 demonic beasts, equivalent to early houtians.

Judging by their size, these animals are all Rank-1 Ferocious Beasts, equivalent to a human Early Houtian. Seven of such creatures — who are usually stronger and faster than their average counterpart — will already be very troublesome to deal with. And if there are more…

The Alpha’s highest stat check was 23 I think, while Middle-Houtians max stats are 30.
I am guessing they either decided to ran off/ get killed by MC or are killed by Long Chen during the Alpha fight.
Is just that, when we attack the wolves directly, we don’t even get any stat checks for them so maybe it was pure fear on them?

u don’t know but the author gave a little clue to they fate based on what is seen of long chen, who will take whatever he wants which includes the lifes of his enemies or do u really think long chen will let anybody who harmed his fellow sect members and even if is not mention u can leave it up to your imagination or what is said so far in the story

of course it was fear they just witness they sibling or littermate get killed, and we do get stats check for just only one of them which the mc killed that enrages the alpha

Don’t know abt the absence of stat checks , maybe it’s cause they were eating when the mc attacks them?

You actually don’t get a stat check for killing that one wolf when you choose to rush in.

You continue to insist on something that is simply a flaw, considering that the wolves were practically right in front of us. While it’s true that we can leave it to our imagination, I don’t see why you’re so determined to convince others that it’s not a flaw that the other wolves are not mentioned when they were supposed to be right there.
If you don’t want to analyze the scene and provide meaningful answers, I don’t see why you insist on continuing the discussion.
If you think that not knowing the whereabouts of the wolves, which again was the whole point of going with AI, is not a minor flaw, then fine. We simply expressed a point of view, not everyone thinks the same way, so it may bother some people not to know what happened to the wolves when they were the whole reason for that mission.

:woman_shrugging: :man_shrugging: :person_shrugging: if that what u believe ok

Well, yes, that’s what I think when you send messages like these that have nothing to do with the scene.

Aight, I skimmed through the discussions and there a few things I need to point out:

  • Game is balanced around Mortal-difficulty. There’ll be a time where MC can be disgustingly OP, but that time is still far, far away. Fighting across stages is something that almost never happens due to the sheer difference in stats/Inner Energy capacity. TR does it because he’s meant to, the prince has so much more trump cards that you guys have no idea about as of yet. For everyone else, it’s basically impossible.
  • MC is far, far from weak or ordinary. Lemme give you a few examples: the wolf in Ai event is equivalent to M-H and, with passed stat checks, MC can fight it to basically a draw - and maybe even win in the end, if LC/Ai were not there; Yun Ge in the arena, despite himself being only an average talent, is basically the best E-H in the sect - which is why his stat-checks are so high and why he could even rank in the top-10k; MC can fight 1v3 against properly trained by the sect and very experienced E-Hs and win; MC can fight against the supremely talented successor of the Havoc Sect and win. There are a few more examples, but the point is, MC very much follows the theme of being an ‘extreme genius’.
  • I think there should be a text for the rest of the wolves in Ai event… LC basically kills them all, and as to why they aren’t participating in the fight - because the Alpha is doing a 1v1.

Another doubt I have is , is the eye of perfect replication a talent or a skill?

Probably an inborn talent of TR

is a talent of Tang ruo but is have something do with his parents and considering he was so interested in the special physique of that martial artist that is a half zombie then maybe one of his parent or ancestor was a dragon or a being which he inherited this power from

An inborn talent. I think it says so with high enough int? Not sure tho.

I think Charisma is the best bet for a ‘dump’ stat, since it doesn’t have any impact on the fights themselves (may help you avoid them altogether tho). Intelligence is quite important for training and Perception is a must-have if you don’t want to be caught off-guard.

You should ask @Kungoru for a specific build though, he’s an Agi main as well

I don’t know if I am mistaken but the guy who Tang Ruo asks to test my skills is ranked No 3 in the arena and is late Houtian.
I also wanted to ask how many peak Houtians are in the section at present?

He has a heavenly physique and came from a great clan made up of comically buff steroid-huffing gym bros, he would probably be stronger than a guy from a lesser clan a level higher than him. Or maybe he’s kind of like Long Chen because of his physique, he just tanks the attacks of his enemies and tires them out, then he goes for the kill when they’re sufficiently weakened.

Actually the writer of the book said that in no scenario is anybody else except from tang Ruo able to beat someone a level higher than them @fingerplayer

Author said it almost never happens, not impossible.
