Almost never doesn’t mean impossible, it’s just very rare. In special circumstances maybe it does happen. The bull guy has a heavenly physique (which are pretty rare) and heavenly physiques are pretty broken, look at the Demon Queen. He’s also a Yang which is like, the 2nd (3rd?) most powerful clan as of now.

It doesn’t seem very rare considering that Hao Fan a Peak Houtian is ranked 241st and someone stated above that Yun Ge who was stuck at Early Houtian was very hard to beat considering he was stagnant for so long so I would assume someone like Hao Fan who has also been stagnant would have reached peak of his stage and would be very hard to beat even for people his level considering the mc has problems with Yun Ge with peak stats without using talismans.
So I don’t think I see a scenario where only peak Houtians who I assume are probably few are the only ones higher than Hao Fan so I won’t say fighting levels higher is very rare.
For a sect with possibly more than 10 thousand disciples, I would say that 200 cultivators with heavenly physiques, more or less, are pretty rare. Hao Fan also mentioned somewhere that because of the impurity of his blood, advancement to Xiantian is next to impossible. Peak stat MC has no problems fighting Yun Ge without using talismans so I don’t know what you mean. The author said that the skill checks for the Yun Ge fight are pretty high because he’s pretty good for an Early Houtian, so an Early Houtian mortal mode MC would have trouble defeating him.

edit: Ah, I see why you would think so. During the competition, he uses strength equivalent of a L-H, but he’s not going all-out.

I mean, you were not wrong. There are some people who can fight above stages (and MC eventually will also be one). There are multiple factors that constitute someone’s strength inside a stage.
- Stats (how close to the limit, since far from everyone can ‘max out’ stats)
- Skills
- Equipment
- Inborn talents
If we take Hao Fan, for example, his stats are not nearly maxed out due to low BP, his skills are subpar, he has no inborn talents what so ever and even his fighting skill is so-so - that’s why he’s ranked so low, there are a few geniuses that can best him even as L-Hs if equipment is not involved. But even so, it would be a very, very close fight, unless it’s someone like Tang Ruo

Posted a brief explanation above. Against a weak P-H, depends on the quality of physique. Yang Gan, for example, could fight someone like Hao Fan as a L-H - due to his skills and his physique. But that’s mainly because Hao Fan is quite weak amongst his peers. If we take, for example, P-H Tigress vs L-H Yang Gan, it wouldn’t be even close, despite the Tigress not having a physique

Nope. It usually requires too much Inner Energy to do so - there’s an example of that if you try to save the child during Ai event

Why does Hao Fan speak like he has acheived all he could acheive in the stage he is and why does Yun Ge not fall in the same category of being weak like Hao Fan or is there a reason he is stagnant aside from having enough blood purity
The higher the stage/stat limit, the more prevalent BP becomes/the harder it is to ‘maximize’ stats . For someone who lost on many stats during breakthroughs (they are % based), Hao Fan is basically stuck with his current attributes.
Yun Ge is an E-H, given enough time, almost everyone can reach the limit - and he still haven’t btw, only his strength is near the natural limit
