I’m pleased to present Independence or Death: Part One, a historical political-fiction where you play as the young monarch of the vast Empire of Brazil.
I have to say, I’m not a fan of the huge, non-interactive info dump at the start, followed by choosing your name and hair color, followed by another lore dump with page after page of plain text. I know a political game needs to make some facts clear, but passively clicking “Next” just starts feeling silly after the tenth time.
Have you thought about saving some of that stuff for later and/or weaving it into the actual story?
