Hey! I donāt have anything important to say, and Iām not really sure if this is the right place to do this, but I wanted to take a second to give some positive feedback and gush a bit!
I think this story is something really special, and the character writing especially is very very good. CG lives rent free in my head, and I know itās probably a terrible idea but Mallory is such a goofball I canāt help but love them, even though theyāre super sus. Also all the potential tragedy and angst with Beth is just chefs kiss. Also Kay. Justā¦ yeah. Just an absolute sweetheart.
Itās the kind of story that really just dragged me into it and wouldnāt let go. Seriously good work, and thanks for writing it.

This is the right place to do it! Thank you for the feedback! I personally think there is nothing suspicious about Mal, I think they are doing nothing weird or bizarre, and everything they do is entirely justified one way or another.

Still waiting for that moment in the story where MC helps certain flunky (who still does not deserve to have a cat in his name 
) to end his long-overstayed date with life 'cause every encounter with him leaves me wanting to reach into the screen, pluck his eyeballs out and tie them by those dangly blood vessels to make a gore garrote I could strangle him with!!!

In IF levels, DYVJ is kinda slow burn in terms of descent into chaos and violence (well YMMV because you can just give compound fractures to a random cape (Ranger) and killed an unnamed security guard by this point)) and the story just hit the point of no return post this chapter in terms of woops! the fan has been hit!
There are upcoming quiet chapters tho !

How do interactions like using hand-to-hand combat as your fighting ability but strength being your worst stat work out?
Or your characters specialty being adaptability yet your character is more methodical personality wise?
Would you check both stats with an AND or would this type of thing be dealt with an OR? Iām hoping I could make a more complex character by using hand-to-hand combat without making strength their best ability
Idk why people have such beef with Catalyst itās not likeāuh. Okay well maybe Iāllā¦ hm.
In the majority of cases, fighting style > pure stats, and in fact there are a couple of instances where having a specific fighting style compensates for lower stats. In general I have tried to make it so that the fighting styles are not hindered by the skills.
Off the top of my head I canāt remember if Iāve coded in exceptions. That I can recall, the only couple of instances where it could maybe be a problem is that low guts can sometimes result in Dime tiring out early in the multi-phase fights.

Iām replaying the beginning and noticed that Prii has a new power! When did that happen? And I wonder how these little creatures are gonna torture the MC in the future lol.
