I’ve noticed with Wil (and it might be the same with Teddie, though I haven’t checked) that if you clash with them in the beginning (and don’t apologise), don’t choose any of the romantic choices with them at either of the first two opportunities (when you give them your number, or if you choose to think about them), then the variation of the romance you get if you do decide to flirt later on defaults to the ‘normal’ version, rather than the ‘tsundere’ one.

I don’t think this is necessarily a bug, but I just thought I’d mention it in case this isn’t how it’s supposed to play out.

I’ll take another look at this at some stage; I think I just didn’t want to add a tsundere style option for every single opportunity to flirt with either of them. The trigger is picking one of those options as opposed to disagreeing at first (though I think clashing at first is a prereq for the earlier ones. Would need to double check, haven’t looked at that in a little while)

Hi, I’ve noticed a bug after the Coven meeting?

Control asks us if we can keep her company, but even if you say no we end up hanging out with her anyway?

Also, if you select the option that says, “What makes you think I’ll have changed my mind?”, then the scene continually loops until you pick something else.

In this particular playthrough I chose the option that said she’s the closest thing I have to a friend and have a good relationship stat with her at 56% (generally doing things to help her out because I don’t see any way out of my situation), but I didn’t agree to her first request to just chat at the library (because I thought it was a set up to test my loyalty) and also didn’t say anything when she asked me if I trust her (because I don’t, but didn’t want to actually say it out loud).

Honestly, Mallory’s insincere, troll-like personality winds me up even at the best of times (even in playthroughs when I’m trying to be more easy-going/friendly), but their “prank” is the one time where I feel like they go too far (and is what seals my disdain for them).

I think if they genuinely apologised (if we’re angry or upset at them) I’d be able to eventually move on and forget about it (regardless of my anger in the moment), but the fact that they double down instead and act as if we’re being too uptight is why I almost-always choose to annoy them and get under their skin whenever I have the opportunity haha.

Thanks for letting me know! The coding around there is a bit of a hellscape so I’m not too surprised that I screwed something up. I’ll take a poke at it and see if I can figure out what’s what.

Update: okay the loop was me getting afraid of having a hide/disable reuse on a selectable_if statement because the first time I tried that it didn’t work and so instead of figuring out how to make it work I just piled some clothes on top of it cause if you don’t look at it then it can’t hurt you.

…Which is a convoluted way to say I recently figured out how to fix that, and it will be corrected. It is intended to loop back to the other choices, but obviously not infinitely.

I think I found the culprit for the hangout scene just happening anyway - looks like an *else was missing somewhere in there - so I’ll get that corrected too. Thanks again for the report!
