Im more partial to the Arthur path just something about being a op swordsman that’s crazy has always rubbed me the right way and the way we destroy the city is epic aswell of not egotistical of us which I love lol I’m also looking forward to Janus and Peles pathways. Janus because of the Aizen vibes I get from them and pele.mainly cause I wanna see how we manhandle Ruby another fire user those 3 are my top and most played through so far
Couldn’t Janus counter that by just looking at her own future?
Same, I’m looking forward for Pele’s path, can’t wait to have a volcano forming in the middle of the city
That mc has to limit themselves seeing futures of things or they get overwhelmed. Janus tried changing the future before and things either didn’t change or made it worse. Unlike the other mc Janus is basically average is terms of fighting so even if they knew it would take a while getting past the guys in our way. The character needs balancing so it’s not too op. Limiting it to 2 or 3 people is probably the best way to do that. Besides no bodyguard is perfect and Janus is no exception.
Janus average strength is probably more powerful than his enemies in chapter 2. But I think an explanation of Janus power is needed since its too general or I’m just too stupid to understand it.
I don’t think that’s would work. Janus needs to know the future actions of theyr enemies so they can react to It, so seeing your own actions wouldn’t be wise If you don’t know the actions of others. Plus, If Janus just needed to see theyr own future, they wouldn’t have a problem with getting ambushed.
What I’m saying is that Janus is one of the weaker Mcs u can pick but that’s probably part of the handicaps to balance the character since they can see the future if they want to. The reason why our pals got caught even with Janus is cos they are more concerned about more themselves in danger instead of anyone else at that moment.
hm something just came to me but in the arthur route will you be meeting any of his comrades aka the knights of the round table. also will you be able go to camelot
I don’t think any of his comrades are immortal
I doubt it since he is only alive thanks to the sword cursing him. Also he did kind of ditch everyone so even if any survived I don’t think they would listen to him
I just love how as Ishtar we keep that asses spear for ourself after dealing with him. I just hope we get to keep it long term.
actually there is one way they could survive the holy grail. as everyone knows the holy grail grants wishes you ask it for riches you be swimming is gold you ask for world domination done ask for women easy so if they ask it be immortal also attainable.
actually he didn’t ditch them specifically he left so he wouldn’t harm them due to will excaliburs curse as we saw when he went berserk when someone challenged his authority so he decided give up the crown and leave to keep them safe
Well even if was the right thing he did kind of abandon them so if any of them were still around they would probably take it badly
There’s also the thing that the only member of the Knights of the Round Table besides Arthur himself to be mentioned is Kay which I’m pretty sure qualifies as the others having to affiliation to Arthur
Imagine if this Sun Wukong was the God of Highschool version? lol
The fight would’ve been over bf they could even blink.
Also, i read somewhere that the original staff weighted millions of tons or smth.
I assume that’s not the case or everyone here would’ve become a donut lol
The staff is complicated. If i remember right, the staff is bound to Sun Wukong in the original myth, it is light for him, but nearly impossible for anyone else to wield. Since he lost it in this fable, that may not be the case. It may have similar properties to Wukong themself in which its size and mass can be adjusted.
maybe but they would proble forgive him
But that was only because she wasn’t able to look at her own future before!
Here, let me quote it for you:
“and as you lay there in agony, you had your first vision of your own future.”
See? She only got the ability to look at her own future after nearly dying from that ambush, which subsequently made her even stronger than before.
After which, the only time she was ambushed by an augmentor was because she had yet to use her power to see it!
Not really. Let me explain it to you this way;
Let’s say a person is standing on the road. In 2 hours, a truck will come and hit the person.
Now let’s say that you are that person standing on the road, and that you have the ability to see the future of a person.
As the truck has yet to come, you can’t exactly see it’s future. But what you CAN see is yours! And by looking at your OWN future, you will know that a truck will hit you two hours from now!
Another example:
Let’s say an enemy is going to ambush you. Though you know that he will come for you, you don’t know where exactly he’ll strike, when he’ll strike, and how he’ll strike.
And since you don’t know where the enemy is, you can’t see his future.
But what you can see is yours! And by looking at your own future, you will learn that someone will attack you five minutes from now with a chopstick at your back.
Ofcouse, the information you get would be less than looking at your enemy. But by the time you’ve countered his ambush, you should now be able to look at him directly and see his future.
But I was only arguing that Janus can counter ambushes by looking at her own future. I wasn’t arguing that Janus was overpowered, or that she needs to be buffed or anything.
And frankly, I completely agree that Janus is average in terms of fighting abilities.
I mean sure, predicting what the enemies will do will make a fight easier. But if your opponent is hella strong, then the only future you’ll be able to see will be defeat.
After all, as the saying goes; “in face of absolute power, no trickery will survive it’s might.”
