People who are crazy for Arthurian mythology are def gonna ask all kinds of things… No doubt any of those statements will be met with the pointy end of Excalibur and a bloodlust filled Arthur lmao.
I love playing as Lucifer and want to see how the people reacting to the knowledge that Devil is real and on earth among them. Not only that but he is the only one who can save them.
Well Lucifer is born angel he is just absorbing too much demonic power. At least that’s how it is in the story.
I think it’s more likely Lucifer will regain old angelic power beside demonic power
Specially down to regain our wings as Lucifer. Plus, we haven’t even seen Luci fight with his sword, yet.
I want to know how Luci lost to Timur considering his power to control the nerve system. Sure when Timur is just a skely. But once he’s flesh, he should be susceptible.
i imagine that it was just that timur is THAT fucking insane
I guess. To be honest…in a world of mythical beings, gods, demons, etc existing…I struggle still with the idea that a regular historical human is the biggest baddy.
I had to look up who Timur was, cause I’d never heard of him.
And accepting that my character, Lucifer, an angel who devoured demons and killed ‘God’ and has lived far longer then most other characters…is afraid of and can’t defeat Timur… My brain struggles.
Annoying, indeed. I want to be op.
Right? Now if maybe Luci is one of the few who could defeat him, but isn’t interested in getting involved and the others need to convince them to help. That would make sense.
But I admit, that is just a small quirk in my brain as a mythology fan. I’m biased for legendary or mythical ppl vs some real life human dude. Like, seriously, I’ma think the dragon is more badarse as a villain then a rabid tiger. Even if kitty has some dues ex powers.
That historical human is backed by goddess though not sure how many other allies Timur have.
Yeah, but they treat her like an afterthought. A plus 1. A sidekick. Luci didn’t express fear of her.
Lol you guys timur isnt just some historical human in this game they are so much more and with that lady at his side even if it was just the two of them they make for a very dangerous pair. An considering the timing they are quite likely not going to be alone by the time the MC an the others acctually go to confront them.
So for me i am curious to see how things shape up and unfold for us all.
I know that. I’m just saying, this story has literal gods, demons, etc…and a human is the baddy? I just wonder why that was the bbeg the author chose. Not bad. Just weird and interesting.
I guess I’m more curious about the thought process behind the villain, since I don’t often see much of Timur in anything. What inspired to make him the one even a demonic angel like Luci or gods like Zeus/Odin would fear?
Will be interesting if any big names join him, but he tends to suck those ones up. Like a fine udon noodle.
There is a saying that best of mankind is better than angel but the opposite is worse than demon.
I guess that’s kinda reflect in the story.
Timur in history kinda bad, He spend almost all his life waging war, His horde rampaging around causing pile of corpses taller than mountain, Timur was brutal and ruthless.
He is good pick because usual suspect probably already appear many times before.
What I like with this story is reminding me of Fate, not because of Arthur, but because historical and mythical figure fight one another.
I guess that’s what I wanted to know. Like if there are legends or stories about Timur. I got that he was a brutal strategist, but history has quite a few of those. Genghis Kahn comes to mind. But that is more overdone. So I welcome fresh meat.
Still hard to imagine someone that could scare a mythical bad boy. Guess Luci is a softie deep down after all.
Yeah, we don’t know how many demons as a number were in Sheol, but it was obviously a lot given how long Lucifer had to spend there, without their nervous system abilities, they clearly had to have some significant physicality or other powers at their disposal.
Not to mention, the wings were part of their musculature, imagine how much more difficult it’d be to move with missing chunks, it’d be safe to assume that Luci getting their wings back would lead to flight and improved physicality. I don’t think they or any of the characters are anywhere near their “peak” just yet
I feel like a lot of people here made up their own idea of what this story and world should be and complain about the kind of story and world the author is actually trying to write because of that, instead of actually trying to engage with and understand it.
What kind of story is the author actually trying to write?
I mean, we are discussing things. The author is always free to take suggestions or completely ignore us. That is what a forum is for. Both compliments and criticisms.
It’s not like I’m threatening or yelling at the author, their story, etc. In fact, I was seeking to understand.
The story is not yet finished and thus open to theory on where the author is taking it.
So chill.
Probably one of my favourite WIPs on the forum.
Sometimes you just need to feel like an absolute unstoppable force of nature and force an entire city into evacuation, play with the minds of the most powerful heroes, or hit an annoying puff of smoke with an extending stick. I personally don’t have any critiques in terms of gameplay or narrative.
The limited use of skill checks and their clear labelling in each choice is awesome too since I don’t have to be meticulous in my playthroughs.
The only critique I do have are a couple of grammar errors(?). I feel like there should be question marks at the end of some of the questions, like when you’re asking Kaizo what his name is and if he has an augment in chapter 1.
But all in all great IF and am looking forward to your progress!
do keep in mind that our PC didn’t have certain things back then that may have made the fight easier
