(WIP) Broken Fable [220k Public, Updated 5/7/24]

You’re a shapeshifter so you CAN have them. Your battle form has bat ears instead tho.

Specifically, the ear themselves doesn’t turn into bat ears. The insides of it does.

We get a diamond tipped monkey tail and the first transformation we ever had was a monkey

That was always weird to me my thought was Peake gets so hot that perhaps she evaporates the water before it even touches her but the author has spoken and I believe him

I know this possibility is very small, but I really hope it happens, Zeus is definitely one of the public’s least favorite fables, Like, I think he’s more unpopular than Ishtar, which is really surprising considering most people hate playing characters they don’t have the freedom to choose their gender.

I guess it really depends on which of mythologies the author chooses to incorporate into the story. Whatever the case Zeus and Eris do have a connection what with both being Greek Gods. But I do hope the author chooses to make Eris, Zeus’s kid. Like just imagine everyone’s reactions when Zeus finally breaks down and tells them that it’s one of their kids helping to cause so much damage

Lots of people also like playing characters that have set in stone genders, so it balances things out, Arthur is pretty popular too.

It really depends, Arthur is popular because of how awesome he is even though he only has 1 sword and a dream lol

Speaking of which, many of the characters are popular because of their backstory and powers that are innovative or used in interesting ways, perhaps that’s why Zeus is unpopular, His power is very dull compared to the others and his story is not very interesting, mainly because we see 300 characters who are Zeus in different fandoms (This also applies to Lucifer, but in his case, his story and power is so different that it ends up compensating for the fact that the character is already well known and has already been used in many fandoms)

Not sure about SW, but the other Fable did not have their artifact when they first met Sid, and during the first Timur fight. So…

The possibility can definitely add a unique part in Zeus’s path. Also, Imagine the level of angst when Zeus reveal that Eris is his kid

I know the chances of it is low, but I hope the author can consider it and add it for Zeus’s path.

Yeah. The plot nerf curse sucks so much. Like you said we should be strong enough as SW to get rid of it.

I don’t mind the weakness in and of itself, it’s the new context with Buddha and where we stand compared to him that make it a problem. Even if we couldn’t get rid of it regardless of strength, it would still make no sense for Buddha to not remove our curse while counting on us against Timur.

And the weaknesses are another aspect that make me not convinced with the Timur twist. Before Timur, the weaknesses created an interesting dynamic against the Praetors where despite you massively overpowering them, they could at least have a fighting chance if they got lucky or you fucked up and revealed too much or fucked around too much, it had an actual function in the conflict at large.

But now with Timur? He’s already stronger than you from the start and is probably only going to get stronger going forward so what do the weaknesses really do now that your enemy is ALREADY a guy who can crush you if you make any misstep? You even already got a powerup from Buddha specifically because Timur is that overwhelming.

Also it raise the question of why you even have a weakness when all the other guys on your level who fought Timur didn’t really have one. Against the Praetors, it made sense, you’re basically in an entirely different league so same rules don’t apply but that’s not the same with the group that died against Timur. The weakness made you stand out in a way that make sense before Timur but now it just feel like tacked on dead weight.

And finally Ishtar’s weakness now kinda break the entire conflict cause who need a plan to make an army? Just stop taking your meds and everyone is gonna fight for you regardless. Timur’s own army basically become yours the second you enter the battlefield. Sure his wife can probably just destroy them all by making the powers she gave them self-destructive once they switch side but it still mean Timur at least won’t have an army while you can bring whoever you want.

And once Timur is done, just take your meds again, no harm, no foul.

Or “Fly away”

Well that’s why I previously mentioned MC need to deal with their negative quirk first before tackling Timur, I feel the whole story escalated to fast…

While months have passed MC barely have any interaction with other character and not much development for MC, it just one thing after another, would be nice to have relaxation after fight with praetor in Canada maybe to get to know Kaizo/Yoru (date???) better or trying to fix MC negative quirk, fighting other praetor one v one could also give MC chance to grow in character.

Other Praetor now feel like side character and not much known about them beside intel Kaizo give and since there is no fight to see their power all we have is vague idea on what they do, what kind of person they are or how strong they are which I feel like missed opportunity.

Considering how Arthur took out the whole team of strongest Superheroes and Attila, I would say the Fables are in another league comparing with others. Ergo, weaknesses are required. Just as with Timur, he is a parasite, he need to consume life to regenerate and maintaining his strength

For Ishtar, she has two conditions: 1st people fall in love with her - we don’t know how strong this infatuation is, it could simply means people always agree with her but they still retain their decision making, or it could be that people become completely obsessed with hers -, 2nd She need to consume lilies or she will turn to stone, using her flying ability and her innate attraction both would worsen the condition

Timur doesn’t ‘maintain’ his strength. He grows it. The only thing that actually consume said strength is when he’s forced to regenerate from lethal wounds. It’s not a weakness, it’s an ability that make him even stronger.

How? Who cares if you took out the Superheroes who were already established to be fodder to you? That doesn’t change that Timur is punching through you like paper if he land a solid hit, weakness or not.

In the game, right after revival, he could not use the power of Tsukiyomi, and appear as a skinny weaken man, then after the fight he need to consume to regain strength. That told us, he is not immortal, he lives by absosbing strength from others people, just by living he is using that stock pile. He can only absorb through physical touch. He may be invincible during ancient time when the furthest human can shoot is a trebuchet. But now, satellite, nuke, hyper-sonic missile, etc… all these weapon can be use in another continent. People can easily nuke him to oblivion, deplete his stock pile. This is a weakness, even Pele could deal with him as long as He/She can stay out of his reach.

Like we got way more people to help us out this time with unique powers, we also got nukes and god killer bullets, it’s hard to see how Timur can beat all that even if he’s op.

Arthur alone stomped most of those guys lmao don’t see how any of them will be helpful against Timur
