(WIP) Broken Fable [220k Public, Updated 5/7/24]

Paradoxically in my head I have a mental image of my Lucifer hitting on Jesus and they go together to spread the parable.

I just realised the time when we fought Timur we didn’t have our artifacts…
You know what that means, we can probably call for a tie now instead of a loss.

This time we whoop his butt

I hope. I want to feel OP and I can’t when Timur exists.

I dont mind. Working with some people also feels empowering when they have your back.

Depends on the Fable. Arthur is the most heavily affected by losing his Excalibur.

I have introverted nature and I hate when I have to work in a group :person_shrugging:

Usually required of me, otherwise i hate being around people

Plus i unnerve people do to my thought patterns. Like last dream, causing people to cringe when I said my skull busts open and my noodle brain is everywhere like spaghetti. I dont describe the bloody mess with it though, its too much for them.

Arthur is a beast even without Excalibur. So he should’ve been a big threat anyway as long as his sword was strong enough to handle most of his power or at least have a lot of spares. Now that he got Excalibur back, Timur better watch out…

I didn’t even know that our MC didn’t have their artifact when they first fought Timur. I think the only fables who’s prowess are mostly affected by whether they have their artifact or not are Arthur and Sun Wukong. Especially Arthur considering how reliant they are of Excalibur because of their connection. Pele would also be included somewhat because of their Bracers but their prowess isn’t affected that much considering how strong they are even without them. The only difference that would affect them would be how effective they are in close combat since those Bracers can shapeshift into different types of weapons (or at least specific forms). Lucifer’s prowess is mental based. The sword doesn’t really affect their prowess that much.

I don’t like how scared our MC was when they heard that Timur was back since I feel the MC should’ve still been strong enough to severely wound Timur. Especially Lucifer because of their mental and nerve attacks. Even if they can’t kill Timur normally, they can still make their life a literally living Hell by constantly increasing their pain sensitivity and hurting them, forcefully conjuring nightmares into their mind and making them relive it over and over again with worst things happening and making it last hours or days inside when it’s only been a few minutes at most in the real world. Lucifer can outright break them completely if they decided to really go into the Devil mindset and focus on trying to use all of their power in the worst ways imaginable against Timur.

AND there’s still the thing that we don’t know what is going to happen if Lucifer ever do eat a human completely since they were only drinking blood to not try to attempt that but I wouldn’t be surprised if they get a transformation along with a huge power boost if they do that at some point.

Fighting Arthur is basically fighting two fable. The lady sword and him.

I’d really like an explanation why the MC isn’t there when he breaks free? Even though the others said the MC gets this one off, it seems pretty irresponsible to not be there in case they need help.

They recruited MC last time with a bribe. Once that was paid they probably had nothing to bribe them with and decided they should just be plan B in case anything goes wrong.

As plan B the MC should still be there, and the argument of it’ll become your problem if we fail should be convincing enough.

Well personally my mc think of it as a business transaction more than anything else, Buddha give the information and mc team up with them. Looks like in the second sealing the Buddha doesn’t have any form of convincing offer to persuade mc again so they didn’t approach them like last time.

One of the things out of our control is our character’s obsession with staying on the down low. We control it by deciding if we want to remain like that or reveal ourselves, but we all have an aversion to anything involving others at the start. Whether that’s involving ourselves with mortals or helping other immortals in a team fight. That would explain why the story really begins where it does, truthfully.

I’d argue its probably Buddha’s fault, it shouldn’t miss you that instead of ever deleting us or forcing us to do anything, that guy is always respectful of the MC’s powers, regardless of the chosen fable. I can easily see him choosing the harder path because of his innate understanding of the MC’s wish to not be involved in anything and just observe existence. The guy’s gotta be a monster of an empath.

Though that leaves the glaring plot hole: would he really choose death over bothering the MC again? Was he really that wrong about the situation and their chances? Did he somehow realize that the MC was in a possible state of change and didn’t want to interrupt it too soon if it wasn’t absolutely necessary?

Except Sun Wukong they probably the only one who had legitimate hatred to Siddharta.

I haven’t played Sun boy since before the fight update released, honestly. I was about to do that when I found an in intriguing conversation. lol I’ve only finished Lucy and Zeus so far.

The thing that’s leaving me scratching my head is the two options are reseal or apocalypse, so it really is in the MC’s best interest to make sure the seal is renewed.

I doubt resealing the mad fecker and his chaotic lover will be easy… killing them even more so however I do think killing them both would be a better solution no need to worry about the seal breaking once more and all ya know
