About the duration of skill increase from Handseal ritual, I’m not sure if it’s working right for the year gap. It seems to last for the whole 12 months no matter how many pages go by, which can be inconvenient when you want to use the same ritual for another skill increase but it won’t let you.
It also feels like it lasts abnormally long during chapter 5.
Cast anywhere else and it goes away after a few pages, which is about what I would expect.

It’s a suggestion… But as a sword fanatic can we have a technique like ‘unlimited flying sword’ or ‘ten thousand sword dragon incantation’… In the game setting we will have a limited version depending on how many swords we actually have in our inventory… There is something similar in the game already for leona… She can control her flying swords
Monohoshizao would be a very cool addition that also fit in this story imo. As far as I remember the only characteristic that makes it stand out is that it is much longer that katanas should be, so the user would need to be very skillful and have much experience to be able to wield it proficiently.
In that sense, it’s not a case of the weapon really giving you an Agility bonus, it’s you who needs to meet certain requirements to use it well. It’s not a weapon imbued with supernatural properties like those named Muramasa such that they can be considered demonic weapons.
Well, these are just my 2 cents, I do like the idea.

Even better will be the Ōdachi, it’s size is perfect for Midorikatais, who prefer they have a sword.

I beg to differ the entire premise of these games is that they are customizable.

Just dropped the patch, all saves have now been brutally murdered. If anything else is broken feel free to let me know, my main focus moving forward will be rushing chapter 6.
Here’s a general changelog for the patch:

- Added an unequip script when getting your weapon in the prison armory so it doesn’t cause glitches

- Changed the elemental Techniques from 180 shards to 110 and changed their AP boost from 10 to 15
- Fixed the fail check for using stealth against the prison guard
- Fixed an issue where non-Oni told Guiren’s minion Yoji they were Oni too
- Fixed the Auspicious Northern Brand thinking it was the Eastern counterpart
- Diving for lost treasures in chapter 3 now properly rewards based on fortitude not power
- Kosuke now gets injured from FAILING the combat check at the mansion crater, rather than succeeding at it
- Fixed an issue with the last word of kosuke’s entry using your sex instead of kosuke’s.
- Added a clause to bring attention to the alchemy stall in chapter 4 so players wouldn’t miss the Memorywell Elixir so often.
- Fixed several variable reporting errors
- Fixed the gamebreak from Jack’s Thunderfall punch
- Added an option for the Light element to steal the Memorywell Elixir
- Changed some confusing wording when using Water to defend against a certain attack.
- Fixed dissonance with your inner thoughts if you defeated Jack before the Gate triggered
- Updated some Style/Element colors to make them all 1 word. Ice is now arctic blue (just called arctic), Light is now yellow, Earth is now amber, Storm is now violet, Kurokonton is now purple
- Fixed the Memorywell Elixir not updating your auracolor.
- Fixed the variable tracking whether or not Jack robs you
- Adjusted honor and ruthless charts so they “can’t” go above 100 or below 0. (They reset to 0 or 100 when you check the stat page)
- Fixed the bodytype text when fighting the Grim.
- Fixed the Darkness element in chapter 5 not increasing your element’s rank.
- Fixed a few wound entries not triggering the right scripts
- Fixed the broken Human racial that prevents death if you have enough chi.
- Removed the duplicate AP gain from cycling
- Added the Hungry Spirit Ritual bonus to the Storm Gate cycling event when you work alongside Tian Fang (of all the sentences I have said, this one makes the least sense without context).
- A couple dozen other small fixes not mentioned
- Added 4 timepass clauses to Chapter 3 so your rituals wear off.
- Allowed the MC to overwrite their Auspicious Seals with a different skill boost.
- Fixed Mao’s warning never triggering.
Edit, broke them again 7 minutes later. Left a link test in the startup file. And again an hour later. Quality QA team.

Instead of making claws equipable you can just make it a racial trait that make them better at combat like the khajiit in skyrim, or if not a racial trait apart of the racial technique we unlock with big chu.
Stupid question, but is this how it’s supposed to work?
I mean, the attack supposedly getting blocked but still getting the wound regardless. Because that’s… not much of a block, then?

I was so sure I fixed that and yet I did not, damn it. Should be fixed now, and instead of trusting the code I just used an immediate “return” right after running the block.
