I’m honestly surprised that this is a thing that happens, because it’s pretty easy to get strong in PoMA even on Mortal Difficulty as long as you grab Pristine Body, get a decent amount of EXP to start with, and manage your money/EXP accordingly.
I managed to max out every single stat on my first blind playthrough by the time the Expedition started.
But moving back on topic to Aura Clash, I hope the other NPCs get fleshed out soon. I thought I would really like Tian Feng from her description, but so far she’s been super one note? “I like food” is basically the only thing attached to her character. I thought her whole condition would be a bigger source of angst for her, but it’s literally just an allergy. So she was a bit of a disappointment for me, honestly.
Well, when the battle first came out, I won the fight without using talismans, and in E-H. I only used the golden seed on the last hit since that was the one you had to pass no matter what, or you’d lose the fight. But, as I said, I think they already balanced that fight, but it was something that happened.
About the wolf, remember it’s M-H, after that, it’s Late Houtian, not Peak Houtian. And about the fight itself, the MC wouldn’t have won even if they were alone, honestly If he could be tricked so easily to be disabled with one blow, the fact that it was such a blatant mistake shows how inexperienced the MC appeared in that fight. What’s the point of having strength and all the training if, when you need it, you make mistakes like that?
It’s just that the fact it was a scripted loss already shows it wasn’t winnable. Not because it was extremely strong or something similar, since you can fight other M-H in the expedition and win from E-H, but rather it seemed more like an event solely to showcase LC.
I’ve played through most of the routes, and she’s definitely the most likeable of the ROs, so I get why you like her. Angelo is also pretty likeable, but he comes across as more like a mentor figure than a RO to be honest.
That being said, Tian Fang also feels the most boring of the characters? It doesn’t really feel like she has a plotline of her own compared to the other ROs. So, there’s not much to get invested in at the moment.
Also, sometimes her dialogue tries too hard to be quirky that it comes across as cringey instead, though that’s my personal taste more than anything.
Well MC is inexpérienced he has only been in the sect for 3 months or so and I didn’t say Peak Houtian but Peak early-houtian.(EH)
Well that’s a way of seeing things but in PoMa tricks and cheap shots can win you a fight because MC is still growing and he’s not so overwhelmingly strong that he can disregard every blows.Again it’s not a power fantasy,and yes the Wolf was to show LC but it’s not that impressive given that in a “fair” fight MC would have won.The Wolf was a Rank-2 legendary beast and MC beat 3 EH specialized in a hunt of one,and the author confirmed it himself
Well the wolf was M-H not Peak EH btw, and yeah the MC has been in the sect for 3 months but in theory, the mc should have trained a significant part of their life, considering they can participate in the tournament and win it, and in the arena too and they can even defeat a team of three that are supposed to be capable of defeating beasts of the same rank as the wolf so I don’t see how they can lack combat experience when they has proven otherwise.
At least that’s how I see it. That’s why the scene felt forced to me. If the other wolves with the alpha had distracted the MC or something similar, it would have been different. But the way the fight played out, I found it forced. Even some MC are supposed to have a talent to automatically dodge an attack if they have enough energy, but everything was ignored. That’s why the event felt forced to me.
But in this last update, I think they removed that trait, so I guess it doesn’t matter anymore.
Pretty much sums up my problem with cheat modes. People can’t accept that it’s just a cheat, and start feeling entitled to an even more over the top power fantasy than they already have. It’s happened before, it’ll happen again. Best not to bother and let those who would really like to cheat do it themselves.
I mean Imma do it regardless of if there’s one, but if the author wants to say implement an ez mode aka cheating, let em do it cause more freedom for the player is always good
I hate cheating in online games, but in single player games we have the right to do whatever we want, I don’t understand why you hate, they have the right to play however they enjoy.
I mean, Apple explains why? It’s because when Devs incorporate cheat modes in stories like these, some entitled readers will inevitably complain about any time they can’t defeat the enemy in front of them.
