tldr: go midorikatai as a fortitude specialist. make sure you have some points in stealth and persuasion. you’re going to be a walking, smooth-talking bomb.
that’s a broad question- like best combo for what? just passing skill checks? if those bother you just go with the Jade Dragon Foundation, you’re playing a WIP that will include many more chapters to come. when this game is polished and properly balanced as perfectly as cultivator-anon thinks he can get it, I’m honestly expecting some achievements to be impossible to get even if you optimize for AP and passing every skill check.
High persuasion and try to keep pretty much all other stats atleast 2; then buy all possible direction-Handseals and then just save often and reload and use the corresponding seal to give yourself a +1 in that Skill; Pretty much most stat-checks so far are at most 3, and once in a while a 4, so this method should get you the chance to maximize Skill successes.
Yep my second third playthrough was pretty much this. Got tired of save scumming and just went jade dragon route😭. Thanks for the advice though.
Pretty much. Question came up because i went all in on 3 skills and missed a quite a lot of checks with other skills. Turns out 2 or 3 points in everything is better.
Does this error only happen to me, where save games disappear every time I boot up the game (through itch.io)? It’s not a big issue since I’m patient enough to redo everything but it’s kind of bothersome
Oh my God.Tthat was the reason, I’m so dumb lmao. If anyone reading this has the same issue, go to configurations > privacy > clear cookies and site caches on exit and deactivate everything.
Since this was all my fault and to keep this on-topic I just want to say that I really love this game and It’s my favorite WIP. I restarted the game so many times that I found out you can beat Jack unpowered in that fight where he and his lackeys pick your siblings. (I don’t know how, I was just clicking random things, but hey, I got an achievement!)
Alchemy, Handseals, Persuasion/Thievery, Insight for me,
I tanked Survival, Deception, Athelitcs and perception I think
Thievery is important since you can gain many shards, for Persuasion I get it from Merchant Background and Handsome body built, Alchemy is to increase AP gain from Shard IIRC or maybe I am wrong, and Handseals is usually tied with Soul Core, and since I Main Kiirikai I choose handseals and Soul + Power Core
