I don’t think being mean plays a deciding role, unless you’re maybe hitting negative relationship points with some choices. But Fang isn’t exactly averse to getting poor treatment. IIRC one of +romance gains is from mocking and spitting on her after you win the fight for the storm gate, e.g. (because MC established themselves as “alpha wolf” in the relationship that way)

If the romance they are thinking about is the tavern dalliance then fang won’t be part of the choices if she is your mentor. I think it’s because she jump out of your ship and has to do things she has to do she wasn’t able to do because she became your mentor. But you can still romance her she’s just not part of the tavern dalliance.

It’s probably too obvious to point out, but still note that you’ll also get more opportunities to interact/romance if Fang is your style trainer. If you’re specializing in a different style this will limit amount of time she is around.

Ah well then, duh. That will explain the difference. On the kurokonton route your trainer is Guiren and you aren’t going to see much of Fang until mid-chapter 6.

I really should have made a guide of my choices last time I played, it was amazing but I totally forgot now. Last time the game was up to the big fight after prison, so I’m thinking I would get a little bit further now, right?

What are the best combo of “life” skills i should have? I see perception and insight pop up a fair bit which i fail because im all in on persuasion, lore and deception. They have been useful elsewhere but i do wonder if there’s an ideal path.
