and that most people on this forum don’t usually write longer texts
No, I’m out of chi and stuff from the fight against the lighting pirate, the water god that isn’t light bringer, AND the fight against Tian Fang
Up until that point I hadn’t used any items to recover because the game fits in natural little rests here and there where it refills everything but after 3 fights it didn’t happen lol
So I went into my fight with light ringer with almost no resources
To be exact, the game does have have “small” timelapse events in chapter 6: one at the start of the chapter, one after meeting pirates/merchants and one when you arrive to the village. But it should be noted that only some cores are guaranteed to be restored (at rate of 1 core per time skip) depending on your fighting style, and other types only have 25% chance to be restored.
That said, like others mentioned there’s some pills you can buy to restore your resources, although it’s not cheap.
Yo spoilers! Not everyone is caught up cover yourself!
Sowwy fam
Don’t worry, it wasn’t you but Wiliam who was getting lambasted. The content of public demo is a fair game to reveal. :v
So there are 5 yang elements: Storm, Fire, Light, Wind and Water
And 3 yin elements: Ice, Darkness and Earth
I think either Wind or Water should be moved to yin element category to balance things out, which is the whole point of yin yang stuff
I mean, traditionally there’s 5 elements so they aren’t going to be balanced in this regard no matter what. The 5/3 split matches that, in a way.
edit: that said, water is usually put as opposite of fire, so moving it to yin group would make some sense, i guess. This way you’d have fire-water, wind-earth, light-darkness and storm-ice pairs.
The 5 traditional elements are Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. If we use Chinese’s Wuxing then there are many other errors with AC system
Even western ancient alchemy has Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Ether
I mean yes, but my point was that with 5 elements, if you try to assign each of them exclusively to yin or yang then you’re at best going to end up with 3/2 split. There will be no perfect balance. So in a way, having 5/3 split in AC reflects this theoretical, inherently imbalanced construct.
Water being yang in the first place is just weird anyways. It’s always been considered a yin substance, dark and cool and passively flowing and contrasted with the bright and hot and actively burning flame.
Aura Clash is based on the Japanese Godai system, plus 3 other elements so each of the 4 players could have 2 in the card game that this CYOA is based on.
Water is Yin or Yang to enable more players to access the element-based mentor coming in chapter 8
In Wuxing, Earth is the balanced element, exist with equal part yin and yang
Fire is pure yang, Water is pure yin
Metal is yang within yin, Wood is yin within yang
And Earth is neither yin nor yang
Ancient Chinese was obsessed with balance in their philosophy, there’s no “imbalance” in it
Is there a down side to having two yang elements? I often choose lighting and wind.
If you have yin element in Yin slot, and equip Yin Crest, you get extra bonus from this combination. Same for yang element in Yang slot and having Yang Crest equipped. So by having two elements of the same nature, you’re potentially missing on one such additional bonus, since your Yin element slot will have yang element. This is currently the only known downside. Hard to say how things develop down the road.
The free version when it ends in the fight against some strong guy ( don’t remember name ) and the chosing of ships?
No, you get one more chapter in the public version.
Ok thanks
Can we give our siblings and Kosuke a weapon? In chapter 6 we can craft and improve a bunch of weapons and in chap 7 we can steal a pair of valuable katana but if we have already chosen a main weapon for us there’s no much use for them.
Not yet.
