(WIP) Aura Clash SFW Discussion [466k Words (624k Patreon) | Eastern Fantasy | Adventure | Martial Arts]

I was in the process of making some random doodles of characters and eventually I got to my AC MC, and in the middle of making him I realised just how utterly baffling it would be to fight him for someone who’s never met or heard of him before :skull:
I’d imagine the thought process to be something like this:-

“Hmmmm, he’s much too short to be a Wild Chi user, and his appearance is much to wild and the look in his eyes too bloodthirsty—there’s no way he’s the Scholarly Kiihakai or a serene Ayosumu Style user. That leaves Cursed and Sword style, and looking at his not at all hidden and clearly cursed katana at his hip, he’s gotta be an Akakiru user!”

And as bro starts to ready anti-sword Techniques in his mind preparing to fight the equivalent of a Beyblade Levi, he gets ganked in the back by the best girl/bird daughter, as my Human MC with the ‘King of Dwarves’ height and has a Midorikata style flares his crackling green aura, grows in size by six inches in all directions, and rushes in to beat the living daylights out of him with his bare hands. And if he even un-sheaths Muramasa, he only seems to be deliberately hitting him with the flat edge and using it as a blunt weapon to break his bones——
And the challanger doesn’t know if it’s the blood loss or the multiple concussions, but he swears the last thing he heard before passing out was the wailing of the cursed sword about the lack of respect in the youngsters these days, and that back in his time it was rude to not be possessed by cursed blades when wielding them! What is the world coming to…

How do you get the crest of yin I only ever get the crest for Yang

Heresy… how is light so low

Maybe because it’s the most awkward element to get

I’m starting to feel bad for @cultivator-anon for how people are breaking the AP gain.

Something to maybe? Cheer him up.

It’s not free. It’s no coincidence that storm and darkness have a lead here.

But I agree, Light is quite useful. Let’s you skip a deception check to make Leona fight endless beating sect and makes it so you can get bonus loot from Qing after siding with him. I hope to see a lot more situations where dumping deception is optimal and I get to have my cake and eat it too.

These days I’m just stacking darkness with light so my thefts are as smooth as possible.

in chapter 7 after siding with the merchants

Awkward how?. It literally gives you a speed buff and you can make illusions mid fight and according to the description in chapter 3 overload auras. It’s not primarily offensive but has utility.Heck if you decide to fight fang for the storm gate one of the options gives you the chance to make a light whip. It’s personally my favourite element alongside wind and water.

you can also pass some thievery checks with it too, like gambling in the tavern

Honestly, a hard cap of 5 on all skills (including the handseals bonus) would be kind of a no-brainer, given that even the basic Stats screen is arranged in a way that hints it’s the maximum.

I didn’t say awkward to use or weak. I said awkward to get. As far as I know, the only way to get it is by going to the Devanic Temple in chapter 3, which takes up 2-4 precious months of time. Most of the elements can be unlocked at other points in the game too, so they’re more convenient to get.

Agreed maybe at best 6 to show that you can get one extra with extreme hard work or some shit lol but after that it becomes stupid.

Well a two month gap doesn’t seem like a drawback to me but maybe it’s just the way I play;provided you don’t smash the shrine maiden then I always go for it plus I’m pretty biased towards it because I love playing swift characters and just for interacting with Angelo.I’m also partial towards it because I like the idea of mc travelling there to gain something rather than gulping down the elixir at a first attempt to gain an element.

You get a bonus to a skill associated with the element, and can get Jin combat prowess increase, which is a pretty good deal for a 2-month trip. The only way to waste 2 more months is if you can’t keep it in the pants and fuck some rando. But then that’s on you.

You’re out of line, but you’re right. The trip isn’t a waste if you go for a quick boost to Jin. I’ve been using it to get my perception to 2, so I don’t waste an additional month training it.

Plus if your perception is high enough you gain an additional eye techinque in the beginning of chapter six that grants hypnosis on a minor scale. You won’t be able to notice the scroll that has it automatically unless your perception is at a higher point. So many little details in this if that makes me replay over and over again to spot each one.

wait, is this a bug or are you messing with the game code? I always thought the limit for a skill was five

Nope, you can legit go over the cap and it works for situations where you get shit based on you skill level. So like selling Mao’s portrait in chapter 3 for example. At persuasion 4, you get like 3200 silver. And at persuasion 7, you get like 4700.

Uhmm i’m afraid no, there’s no such thing exactly in the early Ch.6 The techniques you can learn there are:

  • the ones from either Sirens or the Endless Beating sect,
  • the one you can stumble upon as Aoyusumu student if you ban gambling on your ships,
  • the one you can invent as Kiihakai student with 2+ Handseals
  • the one you can find in the cargo of your ships, if there’s at least 17 crates of it. While perception can influence the amount you get in Ch.5 by a few crates, you’ll effectively need to pick merchant ships (10 crates) and order the people you’ve rescued to gather loot (9 crates + perception) to be guaranteed to clear that threshold. You maaaay be able to squeak by with just picking the merchant ship, if the RNG smiles upon you (since if you don’t order your people to gather loot, you get 3-5 random crates + perception) In any case, perception is not required to get this particular technique.

No there is a techinque you can get if your perception is high enough in chapter 6.I’m not sure if it’s exclusive to picking the merchant ships at the end of chapter five but it’s there. The techique is called serpent’s gaze and it raises your deception stat by 1 and reduces the cost of some items. Its specifically called an eye technique and has a special mention if you’re on cursed style route. You don’t have to loot anything. The MC just stumbles upon it on their ship along with Kosuke when searching for anything valuable on the ship.
