I personally like Mystic and Sacred style the most with a little bit of an edge to the mystic style.
Just did a Sacred style playthrough with Merchant background( Probably the best background, was able to start chapter 5 with 1160~ AP and end with 1320~ while training the twins too) which increased my impression of this style. It has the utility to be used with any of the backgrounds and some of the events with it fit in well with my preferred set of skills. Here are the end of chapter 6 stats if someone is interested( Athletics, handseals and craft increased by handseals and no soul treasures were obtained from the beasts. Also improved weighted clothing is equipped):

I can’t believe Aoyusumu is at the bottom. How can you guys dismiss flight and telekinesis and force shields so easily??? Don’t come back when Anon gives us an exclusive scene of exploring Leona’s mind y’all, stay on that side.
Also, I went through the game again since my save is technically broken (Had more resources than I should have). I thought I could rob Qing with light but apparently Anon accounted for it, you can only steal the trash swords. Just let me break your game, man… 
Either way, very excited for the trials. This and Poma are the 2 titles I need directly in my veins.

(I’m starting to think sacred style users are frauds. Angelo said our shield can stop people with 600AP, but those dudes can’t make me surge a fortitude core anyway. Are we just pathetic?)

seeing how upset the Taios were for having relationships with the cat girl, I imagine their reaction if they found out that the reason the MC seeks to obtain AP, cores and powers is not to be the strongest nor to protect his family, but to have the biggest harem ever and fuck as many women as possible (that’s at least my MC’s goal)

Probably the funniest thing about the Beast Path is that you can basically just cruise through the whole playthrough as long as you have enough Fortitude, plus maybe a few points in Power lmao.

Honestly Aoyusumu is my favourite. The short training montage with Angelo is fun and the whole concept of the style is pretty neat. You can take control of minds,fly at base once you’re adept and have precognition among other things. Also I just like the concept of the MC going up against Jack with a style that requires calm and focus to parallel his Midorikatai which is basically physical power above all else. Feels like an unstoppable force vs immovable object kind of situation.

When purchasing clothes for the PC, I was disappointed there wasn’t a racial interaction for an Oni PC trying to buy the cloak and hat combo.
I figured their horns would poke right through the hat.
On a more general note, this was quite an enjoyable read. Kudos.

Anyone mind spoiling who from the Callous Armada is going to step up on us? Since everyone can canonically detect the exact number of AP you have, I find the idea of some dude barely reaching 1200 attempting to stop a jade dragon pushing 4000 hilarious. Did they just find some dude who dumped his insight stat?

Jade dragon specifically states that at some points in the story, your level of power will not make sense.
In their eyes, you’re just a particularly strong cultivator, somewhere around their level.
