I’m really enjoying the game after diving back into it. My Top 3 fav ifs for sure, sucks I had to restart my playthrough since I forgot a bunch of stuff and wanted to try a new build but it worked out pretty well as i felt my current character was stronger than my original. I even subscribed to Patreon just to access chapter 7 because I couldn’t get enough of it.
But quick question on regards to the latest chapter for anyone who has played it or even the author if he is reading this: when you get to Nanhou and have three days before the tournament, I noticed that three options are blurred out—one for visiting Desdemona and another for Tiang Fang and something about Noble House. Are those just options that aren’t fully developed yet, or is it related to my choices? I’ve been super nice to both characters and have done all the flirty options, including at the inn. Any help would be awesome! If this has been discussed before, I apologize for bringing it up again.
Yeah, the options are still in development. I heard Sir Anon is planning to add them on Chapter 7b instead.
Appreciate the help, I will just wait for when that happens
Is this a bug or the game is updating, I save a playthrough last night and now I can’t load it.
Also harem of women despite not being from top noble clan and reincarnation of god
If by “can’t load” you mean you get some kind of error when you try then it is possible that there were some changes in the script that made older saves incompatible.
Towards the end of the chapter/update during the optional Piracy event, at the end the two choices we get regarding the crew is to either let them free or forcefully enslave them. Now the conundrum here’s that on one hand I’m really gunning for that increased Clan size, but the cost of that being le slavery rubs me and my MC the wrong way. By no means is my dude an upstanding citizen (3 Stealth and 3 Thievery should tell you all you to know ), but even he has lines he won’t cross.
… Except the two guys we can enslave in the beginning Bandit mission, but I mean they were trynna kill us first and all, so I feel like that’s kinda justified. And I later payed them with Shards!
But enough about that, i feel like it would be cool from a role-playing perspective if we can get a third choice to throw a pitch at the people on the ship to work for us cause as we’ve seen, its really not that uncommon for Martial Artists to be massive diks to lower castes. With a Persuasion Check + the Crew giving us a good review if they have a high morale (“Its a whipping free environment! The benefits are great, just make sure to not stand beneath the Crow’s Nest as much as you can. It will take days it get rid of chi-infused Roc Dropping off your clothes. Don’t ask why I know…”), and boom, we got consensual labor on your hand!
How do we get to her then
Wait I could only enslave one of the bandits, who’s the other one?
First is after the attempted Tea poisoning where with a Persuasion check you get one. For the second one you have to choose to “Bring them to Justice” option at the end of the quest when choosing what to do with the captured bandits. Then when you return back to the Thunderfall village, Mao offers you the chance to get another slave, and here you can choose to either accept or decline
I need serious help regarding the prestige tags. How in the world do you get 50 prestige before the trial begins? I did a lot of things to gain prestige (the earn funds back at thunderfall and some more options) and sacrifice a bunch of chances to get stronger just for prestige and it’s still not ENOUGH??? The achievement is there so it has to be achievable.
send help, please.
but you can already have them on your ship consensually. There are two ways to do this: you can pay them (they would technically be your employees, but consensually) or you can release them and, if you pass the Compassion check, they will refuse to leave claiming that “you are a boss reasonably good” (the biggest compliment I’ve ever received in my life )
She’s in chapter 7, but you have to follow the advice of the voices in your head to meet her, which you can only do if you get some corruption.
oh that’s enough reason for me to embrace corruption
btw is some part of town still unfinished or reserved for later part of tourney ? (craft gear at nakamoto, visit dessy/tian and other ?)
There are a few parts that are currently unaccessible for us
is the noble district accesible?
That may be something that happen in Ch.7 perhaps, but you are initially pressganging these people as slaves with no indication there would be change of this status down the road, which is i believe where Shaunak_Paul’s issue comes from. (which is fair reaction, even a number of your own retainers are disturbed by it)
#"Congratulations on your new employment!" [Pressgang the crew into chained rowers]
Pressganging is your typical go-to, but you can't take these people on as true retainers. You'll be in Nanhou soon, a land of laws where these people no doubt have contacts they were going to meet with. There's no way they'd stay on board, and there's no way they'd keep their mouths shut.
//...
Once there, you have them manacled and chained to the rower's benches where you congratulate them on their new employment. Several men in the lower levels seem disturbed by this new development, but others look on with relief at the chance to do anything but rowing.

[Retainer Morale -8]
*set retainer_morale - 8
(also, honestly, a compassion check overriding the fact the “compassionate” person enslaved you and kept you chained up to make you spend your days rowing on their ship is pretty fucking absurd. If that’s what actually happens and it’s not a mixup of two different events)
We aren’t a noble, so no
