Oh! There are male ROs? I didn’t notice any. And my MC was female.
The rival that tries killing you and the twins. At least was when last i checked, but unsure if canceled or not.
I plan to avoid ROs if i decide to try a power trip.
In case you missed my sarcasm, yes i know all about the male ROs. They are just that bad.
My MC is aromantic and feels no attraction towards men.
Yep missed it, sorry.
Edit: same if I get back into it.
Hopefully, you can address this in one of the updates?
I’d say it’s horses for courses, really. But it generally helps to say what, in this case, you find attractive. “They’re bad” is absolutely useless as far as feedback goes.
(also, MC’s gender doesn’t mean much if the player approaches the subject from their own point of view and preferences, which don’t necessarily match)
Could anyone describe the current relationship between MC and the temple?
(including the fact that they banged Shrine-maiden Mina)
I mean there’s no real relationship you were just a visitor there just like all the other pilgrims. It’s not like you were applying to be a permanent monk or shrine maiden. And they get pilgrims visiting there all the time for several reasons.
Obviously you’re not their favorite pilgrim if you banged the shrine maiden but other than the said shrine-maidens sister I doubt anyone there holds a grudge for that. You already served your penance for doing so by meditating for a whole month afterwards.
I said something then realized it was changed.
The comment prior had not spicey enough, originally.
Yeah, but still.
Imagine some random Thunderfaller, who just defeated a Grim, visits your temple and, out of the kindness in your heart, you allow him to stay.
How does he repay you?
By sleeping with a fucking Shrinemaiden.
I’m just surprised the temple isn’t pissed at us more for committing taboo.
Makes sense.
I’d also chosen to be in with the shrinemaiden. If was allowed too. Its not.
Still deciding to do a run again. I do want to butcher at least two NPCs last time I read, long ago.
Yep, written well enough to hate that I still remember to hate. Author did well on that concept.
Has anyone meditated on the concept of freedom while having a servant? It’s one of the funniest things ever
Oh yeah, that was funny as hell.
I would say that polygamy or the lack of it should depend on its logic in the setting. It doesn’t fit the modern democratic world for a variety of reasons, it didn’t fit medieval Europe because marriage and alliance, as well as hereditary were serious concerns, but it is logical in the setting of most Wuxia.
In Aura Clash we see a heavily entrenched caste system and legal slavery, with marriage (or rather becoming a concubine) being one of the easiest ways to jump the social ladder. The world is full of strife so Warriors will want more kids who can inherit or to be used as pawns on the battlefield. And it’s likely that cultivators tend to be males, which means more men will die in battles against other sects and beasts, creating a surplus of women. Additionally, strength is hereditary to a degree so again, Warriors and powered up Labourers would want to grab a lowborn girl who can pump out kids.
What exactly happened to both Mina and Nina?
The last thing I heard is that Mina was in probation.
Yeah that one and the concept of power are both funny.
Who said democracy and polygamy doesn’t go hand in hand? You know with enough people the weak can topple the strong and that’s also apply in marriage, you have 10 wife displease with the man and one day one will poison him.
Your idea of polygamy probably tainted because you’re seeing too much movie about emperor and royalty.
No that’s not how it normally works, polygamy in common people actually achieved through dialogue and making deals not by forcing it out,
I think you are confusing Harem with Open relationships. Harem is a disgusting generally non consentual practice where only men are permitted to have multiple wives whereas, an Open Relationship is a consensual relationship between adults and consists of multiple genders and sexualities.
I mean there’s also the reverse harem where a multitude of guys share one girl. Tho i do agree that a harem is a very degrading and often times inhumane practise, given that the majority of cases lack consent. It only “works” in fiction (specially anime) bc the characters are one dimensional and can basically be reduced to a generalised trait of “personality” (cold; expressive; bratty etc) without giving them any agency over their wants, needs or dreams. Oh and they are all madly in love with the MC even tho they often times do the bare minimum lol
