Why wouldn’t you want to improve your stance with those two?
Thanks a lot
Dyk if there’s an ending where Uly absolutely hates you and tries to kill you (I saw the Ep3 Angel of Death/Ep 2 Bloodhound on My Trail and I’m assuming that’s what it is but I have no idea how to get there
it’s in the ftl drive locker scene on the ark
from looking at the code, i believe how you get it is be super super late and it’ll happen when the ship resurfaces from under-space.
Oh geez that’s gotta hurt. Speaking of the code a lot of people have mentioned looking at the code. Where did you guys find that? It doesnt seem to be on the main interrface
How do i keep mendez alive without using the WP grenade? Just got through that part and can confirm that “not killing any police” does not in fact prevent her from dying.
Pretty sure you have to try avoid killing cops all game until you get to the helicopter scene, not just the ambulance chase
Since I saw it asked on Steam and here, here’s a FULL ACHIEVEMENTS GUIDE. It is non to low spoilers, but if you played the game all the way, you should be able to infer. Good luck, and keep saves.
Summary
No Strings Attached: handhold Fabian.
Not A Word: besiege the Castle. I am sorry.
Through Glass, Painfully: sometimes, the only winning move is not to play, or, err, to flee.
The Only Thing They Fear Is You: go the full way in the hotel where music rings all around. War crimes are advised. Surely you will not need that special little weapon later…
A Most Tender Reunion: give a kiss to someone you haven’t seen in years, at the worst time. Classic Whiskey.
Old Habits Die Hard: What is one more gunshot wound? Though she probably won’t agree…
Ghosts of the Past: a kick to the chest, and just running away, like the wind.
The Smuggler’s Heart: play a very good chess match with the smuggler. You will regret it when he makes a very cringy joke when your legs won’t move after.
Tongues of Fire: willy pete in, chopper out.
Casualties of War: I will miss you, single mother cop.
All in One Piece: best ending, obviously. Don’t anger the police, even if you take damage for it.
Why We Fight: have Mendez around, should be automatic.
The Lieutenant’s Priorities: you seriously need to stop trying to handhold people, Whiskey.
Play through the full game once, and then play again, getting all these cheevos, and not romancing anyone. Includes Shonin and Mendez. Then, do it again but romancing and handholding everyone. I recommend Mendez to be around in both instances, it helps with the time.
All’s Fair in Love and War: intentionally set the alarm by not giving the radio to Castle, take no damage afterwards.
Unbroken: take little to no damage in the Uvarov meetup and afterwards. Flashbang is useful here, and the pete, if you want to waste it. Be accurate with the shotgun. This is necessary for the better endings.
Still Standing: take middling damage in the Uvarov meetup.
Razor’s Edge: get seriously fucked up in the Uvarov meetup. Jam your shotgun by not being accurate early, and then intentionally get blasted. Use the Molotov. This is necessary for the worse endings.
A Bond Forged By Blood: what is another little smooch between ex-lovers?
Now, I would recommend you make another set of saves. One where you do excellent with timing, one where you do fine, and one where you do terribly. You’ll thank me later.
A Moment Too Late: be way too late to the climax of the final act. Drop the shotgun, keep the backpack, generally stumble around like a donkey. Do it alongside Razor’s edge.
A Hijacking Prevented: see below.
Save the Skipper: get perfect timing when getting to the Captain. You will get this achievement and the one above. Drop the backpack, keep the shotgun. Do it alongside Unbroken. Necessary to ace the ending.
Low-Space: this and the one below kind of follow the same logic of above. Be mildly late, you get this one.
Under-Space: be really, really late, you get this. You will lose a part of you, guaranteed. Endings will be adjusted accordingly.
Rallis’s Last Gift: automatic. Run, Whiskey, run.
The Enemy of My Enemy: don’t get perfect timeliness, and have a bad relations with your ex-lover.
Battle Couple: same, but be in love with Ulyssa. Yes, she is a girl, bite me.
Ruthless: you sure would be unlucky if there was a Hague around here. When fleeing and stopped, mow them down.
In the Nick of Time: flee rather than face the final foe.
Chekhov’s Grenade: go after the shadowy bastard, use the pete you probably should have known had to save all along. Necessary for the perfect ending.
Saint James Infirmary: I believe it is automatic with the one above.
Scapegoat: do really, really bad, your good man Proctor will have bad news for you.
Overachiever: get best ending by saving everyone, being timely and killing you-know-what.
Perfect Run: same as above, I believe.
Endings
There are three branches, terrible, middling and perfect conclusions to the Ark crisis, and then variants to some endings depending on relations. How do you know which is which? If you got the best, the game will let you know. If you got the middling, that’s when all the options like GUNI will open up. Worst one, you are scapegoat. When I say “bad ending” or “good ending” here I mean to the Ark, and the third of a million people on it, not to Whiskey. It is within you to decide which ending you like the most.
The Outlaw Sheriff: have a bad ending, be scapegoated, and choose to retire somewhere quiet.
Hellhound On My Trail: have a bad ending, be scapegoated, and choose to get a new identity and be on the run.
The Angel of Death: have a bad ending, be scapegoated and choose to stay in the agency, if you are not forcibly retired.
The Galactic Union’s Most Wanted: have a bad ending, choose to leave with your ex.
The Boogeymen: get a middling ending, choose to be where you always have belonged.
A Dramatic Change in Career: get a middling ending, choose the Goonies, have terrible taste and don’t handhold with Castle.
Partners in Not-Crime: get a middling ending, choose the Goonies, be all lovey-dovey with Castle.
Virgin Margaritas Forever: get a middling ending, choose to go on some well-deserved long-term vacations.
Combat Capitalist: get a midding endling, and choose to move back to the core and get a “normal” job.
Stay in School, Kids: get a middling ending, and choose to go and get a university education.
A Violent Domestic Life: get a middling ending, be in love with your ex, and pick love over a flavorless future.
Director: get the perfect overachiever ending, and stay where you are. You probably didn’t expect to assassinate political opponents, didn’t you? Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The Next Generation of Sacrifices: get the overachiever ending, but be too wounded to be of use in active deployment. A new opportunity awaits, though.
The Orphans From Sahara: get the perfect overachiever ending, and simply leave your world behind for a past you have long desired to return to. Be in love with your ex.
The Ultimate Sacrifice: don’t run away, and fight to the last breath against the final foe. Utilize the gun, not the pete.
It Can Never Die: be too late to get even the worst epilogue. Pretty good scene, though. Intentionally ruin your chances the whole way and you’ll get it.
One Last Act of Love: get the perfect ending, overachieve, and don’t be attracted to Ulyssa. Then, beg her for a way out at the end, when you are given no choice but to stay or to run.
Indecisive: flirt and handhold with every available option through the game, including Shonin and Mendez, then choose one of the endings where you make it out alone, without a couple. For example, endings 8, 9 and 10.
I don’t think so? You have to not anger cops at any point, never shoot to kill, never attack when there is another option. If the copanger variable is minimum, they don’t use a minigun and you survive just fine. It depends on the minigun which again exists or not depending on if you angered cops through the game.
Check the guide.
Yeah i did a replay she dies even if you don’t kill a single cop at any point in the game
dont kill any cops and pick the option to focus on helicopter during that chase
do you mind sharing what those low number endings are abt LOL it’s like impossible for me to get them and it feels like the decision trees are already pathed out to the other endings

Could you please elaborate on the steam user data and how to save files on there? thanks! sorry Im not too familair with steam
You reach into your pockets and pull out the variety of evidence you recovered this morning. You have a handful of Uvarov IDs and keycards from the inspectors you killed in your apartment. You have Keiran’s wallet and phone, both taken from his corpse. You have Mendez’s police badge and radio, given to you before you went your separate ways.
That bit about the inspectors from the apartment should be scrapped, since that part of the game isn’t in anymore
The timestamps after you hit the bridge need to be updated. With five timeliness, I got the captain announcing 00:00 with takeoff in five, burst in, saved the crew, and the next timestamp was 23:39 ticking down to midnight. Pretty sure that just needs to be pushed forward 25 minutes and it should be accurate
Hello !
Does the author have a patreon ? I’d love to make a donation ?
Nope
If it’s alright to ask, were there any particular real-life weapons you imagined in place of the Giskes-3? Given the ‘curved magazine’ line, I feel like it’s kinda an MP7-ish thing…
If the Marshal from ITFO breaks down over war from seeing bloodshed of the boys at the battlefield. . .
He’d be weeping at what Whiskey sees in my first playthrough.
I love, love, love both ITFO and Whiskey Four but holy fuck. . .

These boys are madmen. Insane bonkers crazy madmen, and our space is all the safer thanks to them.
Raw emotional dialogue aside—
Writing is INSANELY GOOD. Took me a long time to fight through a food poisoning and actually muster up the strength to keep my eyelids open and read, and reading about what happened to Whiskey just confirms to me that I’d be dead 2 minutes into this fast-firing universe.
I’m just a moop on a bed and they’re fighting nonstop for five days chasing trains, jumping through precincts, robbing ambulances — fighting space demons inside space.
Man, I’d love to see this turn into an actual
movie. The story and writing certainly back up its momentum, and it is so rare to see writing that feels as fast-paced as gunning down a dozen or two in the span of two pages.
“Quit fondling my battery” and “You shot at me first!” and “I need a real man to come to my saloon” is amazing and just the right amount of humor to get me to keep going amid the bloodslick, action-packed, horror flicks. The nihilism and overall mood of the lone maddog against a vast corporate army is just beautiful and tragic.
It’s just crazy how in the beginning we are stressing how murder is expensive and messy and hella annoying to clean up— and with every death I’m like “oof” “ow” “Uvarov is gonna feel that one” “ayo, they have their own KILL SQUAD??!”, all the way to:
. . . . . . . Man, Whiskey. . . . . Tf was that?
Ulyssa?? Oh now you too, Driver and Castle.
That probably wasn’t personal. . . But sure as hell felt like it?
I totally get that the kill count goes up as the stakes increase. But man, these guys are totally playing by their own rules as the world gets closer and closer to hell. And it’s amazing. Real world ain’t academy simulation, and all.
I got Epilogue 2: Hellhounds on My Tail,
and gotta sayyy: “AIU YOU BASTARDS! I rooted for y’all all this time like come on! Leave us some grace to remember ya by!” Anyhow, going back into that special hell to even the playing field and do my best to save Mendez. I did give up a whole run just to see if I can restart and save her….
I totally want to play again and check out all the missing facets that I couldn’t access in the first runs, but I may have to figure out how to purchase again on Steam and try to access save files. . . That may save a significant amount of hours at the very bare minimum, considering how wild the branching goes. Hats off to you, Bacon.
Drats on getting me so attached to each character, Bacon! Serious skill and serious writing! I’m floored and yet just keep turning the pages for more!

To be clear, AIU relationship has no bearing on the endings, it’s just a flavor stat that just signifies how you feel towards them
