"Werewolf: The Apocalypse — The Book of Hungry Names"—Unleash Rage and wield spirit to heal the land and rebuild your fallen pack

Finally finished the game. One thing I have noticed among Parliament of Knives, Night Road and now this game is that they all end on a sort of cliffhanger for a new adventure going to happen later. Will these games get a sequel eventually in the future?

I will say that one of the things I was hoping this game would provide was a similar experience to Night Road. Like more shopping options like a weapon/armor shop, more housing options, item stop, an opportunity to change or switch out your existing equipment/gear for something new, better or something in storage, more specific clothing options and an opportunity to switch them out whenever you wanted, more vehicle options other than a bike, more job options like the Security and Logging jobs and maybe more for example, interior decoration options, an option for the type of defenses you want to place around or inside your home, etc. I mean, this was a game that has around 1.6 million words so I was surprised that those stuffs were never added considering how much a lot of players liked Night Road since it gave you so many options as compared to Parliament of Knives.

Think that’s more to get players interested in the tabletops though I could be wrong

the highest stat check in the game is 5, considered very hard, not counting positive or negative multipliers (like Rage, spirits, Gifts, allies etc). You DONT need to max everything but a solid 3 points in your attributes and 2 in your skills will get you there neatly.

As far the actual code is concerned, Nomi is romancible but doesn’t have as much structure as the other werewolf characters. Either they do not care about your human relationships or they only know about your dynamic with other werewolves, and are effectively blind to your human relationships. But it kinda seems like you can Romance both Nomi and someone else

I just saw the new patch info on the forum just now and one thing in it got me thinking something.

“Standardized the personality stats names”

We had personality stats? The only thing I can think of that comes close to it are the conviction stats but those aren’t personalities. Those are goals/beliefs.

I think thats supposed to be the Convictions? And if it is, good, because I had a real hard time during the end of the game because some Convictions had different names than the ones mentioned during the tests, for whatever reason.

Looks like the only new thing we’re getting is an additional opportunity to hangout/date a packmate during a “hub”. I’m not sure what would classify as a hub but I would guess it’s maybe during your free time or something?

Playing the game this early, there’s nothing to refer to on whether decisions are bad or not haha.
Hubs I would assume are like similar to between chapter archs but proper trade etc, but I’m not entirely sure.

Does anyone has a job guide since I’m still interested in info about them. Especially since I remember seeing (and I checked again) that apparently, it’s possible to not only lose your job but you can lose it twice. And in the save manager stuffs, I saw something that said something about a job promotion. I never got promoted during my job. Instead I got fired after my boss betrayed me to Eater-of-Names to join the Council.

Remember that you have to account for a rage penalty on a lot of things.

I saw in a older post on here that the 2nd dlc will have Silent Striders and Ghost Councils and the 3rd will have Red Talons and the Galestalkers along with a new location. I really hope they add an outdoor job for Galestalkers like an actual Hunting job which would definitely suit them. And since the 3rd dlc will include a new location, hopefully we might get new characters to meet, maybe even a few new romance options therefore adding more variety to the type of pack members you have who’s skillsets can be a boon to you.

I mean, if you’re going to make a pack, you’re going to need at least around 5 or more members normally but with beings like werewolves and the kind of monsters and enemies they have to encounter? You definitely would need more than 5 considering the dangers you’re facing. Especially when in this situation, the Garou are very few in numbers currently so having more would help.

If I have to describe how the pack members were like when you first met them or even before that?

Elton: A brooding and down on his luck Shadow Lord who neglected his obligation for years cause he kept looking back to the past.

Podge: A hotheaded human activist type of Garou who’s solution to most problems is blowing stuff up while barely thinking of the consequences and trying to help humans most of the time (possibly at the cost of the missions if he’s too deviant)

Nin: A wolfborn who got so traumatized that she lost the wolf and hid among humans until she was forced to get it back one way or another.

Melodie: A very or somewhat dangerously, mentally unstable Silver Fang who was mind controlled by a evil spirit king trying to ascend and even had her mind messed with for years.

Conclusion? They were mostly broken. Daphne was probably the only Garou who kept at least some form of working sanity. And just like Elton, she also lost her spouse. (Of course, her spouse wasn’t manipulated into doing what Katherine did though to be fair)

Hell, Stormcat was more helpful as compared to them and she was barely a full spirit and was mostly in danger of actually dying.

So what’s the most amount of money you can get prior to the first mission? I’m getting like $1200.

Gotta bit of a spoilery question so fair warning, but here it goes;

What’re peoples opinions to dealings with the drone, at Everlite and in relations to GRC Media?

I question this because I don’t want to ruin the opinion of my character with the romanced npc but also whether or not it’ll be beneficial in the end?

Are you asking OUR opinion or whether we know the ROs opinions on those topics?

Community’s opinion, I think I can guess the RO’s opinions and I did already ruin one RO’s opinion of me as funny as it is because that whole shebang.

Until you get Mirror (get Mirror).

This refers to one of the Conviction tracks, Try Not to Die versus Find the Answers, who showed up in Storyteller mode as I Just Want to Survive and We Can Still Win, respectively.

I believe the “main choice hub” is the big list of options from which you can choose to go on the story activities, trainers, spirit locations, etc. It’s certainly how I’ve been referring to it in my feedback/bug reports.

You definitely can. raises hand Besides the instance you mention, you can ALSO lose your job during the Face/Off plague if you don’t choose to save your boss.

You can already get more than that. You, Elton, Nin, Podge, Melodie, Daphne, and Black Tarn makes seven.

If you make the right choices, at one point Nin calls him “someone who was lying face down on a rug for three years”. I love her.

This is so true that at one point he fakes out a Bane by throwing an energy drink at it and the Bane immediately jumps out of the way before checking what it is. News like Podge gets around. Another time the pack breaks through an illusion by the Answering Tiger because they notice Podge has grenades, and there’s absolutely no way Podge would have grenades after a fight.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, no. In fact, Daphne was very definitely the least sane of them. At least Melodie was aware of what was happening to her.

I managed $1300.

I let him go in exchange for the info on the battle, and then I refused to make a deal with them regarding GRC Media.

I finished the game last night, and I’m pretty sure I got the best ending on all fronts. This thing was a RIDE. I had a couple of close calls, and I was playing in Iron Wolf, so when I got close calls they were VERY DANGEROUS close calls, and I avoided some stuff because I was afraid they were going to be at least close calls, because this game actually makes me feel threatened.

Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go write a review on Steam before @jasonstevanhill sends a ninja killer team to my house, because those things are hell to get off the curtains.

It’s a beautiful game, and it’s making me question my life and Humanity itself. Hope you had fun.

I managed to find a hidden gift exclusive to the Glass Walkers but sadly is unavailable at the moment

I’m still having trouble deciding on what to play on my second playthrough. I really, really want to play Galestalker so I can go for a Predator type of playthrough because of how excellent hunter they are as compared to other werewolves. The Auspices I can think of that would suit them based on the type of blessings they would get from them are Arouhn, Philodox and Ragabash. Arouhn for those who wants to go for a even more Predator (animal) vibe, Philodox for people who wants to do a Predator (alien) or Witcher-like playthrough to strike a balance between wolf skill and normal skill and Ragabash for those who prefer to either manipulate or trick their prey into the traps they have placed.

Anyway, since it’s not available yet, the playthroughs I’m thinking of doing are Black Furies, Silver Fang or Glass Walkers.

Black Furies

If I do Black Fury, I’m most likely going to play a somewhat similar playthrough to my Shadow Lord in terms of appearance and some choices. Black fur, romance Nin, maybe black clothes, everything else will probably be different. Especially the weapon category since I’m planning on starting with a Bow to get that Divine Archery stuff, not sure if you can still get a melee weapon and the throwing knives later on after having the Bow.

Silver Fang

If I go Silver Fang, I’ll obviously go for a Perfect Leader type of werewolf with Silver fur to match it and probably make my MC somewhat or really strong in physical combat. The Auspice I would pick for it is probably Philodox since I’ll be using Charisma, Leadership, Persuasion and Manipulation often.

Glass Walker

Glass Walker would obviously have me going for a typical Glass Walker playthrough by focusing a lot on technological solutions like hacking, crafting and building things, using digital maps, etc. Auspice would be either Ragabash, Theurge or Philodox.
