"Werewolf: The Apocalypse — The Book of Hungry Names" Demo Available Now!

How do get that option? I’ve only managed to whoop his ass?

When you start the game,

  1. choose a form that doesn’t use more than 1 Rage, basically anything thats not the Crinos
  2. once the horse thing reveals himself to be the bane, pick an option you know you will fail. apparently taking damage increases Rage in this scene
  3. lunge at scarper when he comes in. Youll have full Rage.
  4. DONT use Glabro to scare off the trucker and DONT heal your wounds
  5. When scarper comes to force you into the Van choose the intimidate option. congrats you frenzy

The above sequence works regardless of auspice or background as of 4/17/22 Demo

Thanks. Can’t wait to tear that assho to pieces

It only scares him off and gets a civilian killed sadly. Just tried, better to just smack em with the str+combat choice

Since its a week until release I think nows a good time to ask- Will the Black furies be restricted to female Pc’s like in Canon or will males be able to join them too?

Nope males can join the Black Furies

By the way, anyone following this thread who hasn’t yet ought to get over to Instagram to check out the character portraits. So far they’ve posted Nin, Melodie, and Podge, and every one of them is gorgeous.

Will the choice of Tribe and Auspice become important beyond your stats later in the game?

Absolutely. Most Gifts you can pick up are limited by tribe and/or auspice. It also comes up in conversation with members of the pack occasionally. And of course, your base level of Rage throughout the game is determined by your auspice.

“Man this coffee shop owner is terrible! Imma confront her about stealing tips”

forgets I’m an Ahroun

There is no longer a coffee shop

In my ahroun playthrough before the Rage adjustment, that happened to me twice.

Yep, the theurge brings it up when dont have a gift.

I could use the chart given to plot out, but that feels out of touch. I want to see how the spirits react to me from my actions.

So, no gifts until chapter 5/6, once got the trio and access to all spirits. Odd that is on needing all three to chat to all of the spirits.

Spirit reactions of liking me or not, is important.

Forgot to add, money hasn’t been a problem in game, not been doing anything with it. Build/refurnish, except did buy more clothes and thats it. The house I get isnt mine, so dont care about it, even ignored fixing heating. If comes up, hopefully this is a reason i can give, as its an honest one.

Seems a bit short on changes, then. Other than mechanic-wise.

Many Gifts have narrative changes as well, such as warning you about threats, immediately retaliating against harm, showing you hidden insights about a person through an object of theirs, unlocking doors, making machinery go haywire, gathering intel from local wildlife, just to name a few. Most are way more visible than mere stat boosts.

And the only way to get Gifts is to meet the spirit’s requirements which are usually to have a certain tribe or be a certain auspice.

edit to add: Tribes also come with restrictions / penalties for actions that displease the Patron Spirit. For example, a Bone Gnawer who hoards wealth loses Honor, and a Glass Walker who destroys electronics loses Wisdom. It can definitely affect the choices you want to make.

Since the release date is almost here, I wanted to know if anything has being decided about the amount of rage each auspices will get, will it be the current one, the original, we will get to choose between the two or something else?

Which auspice is Melodie? I think I will play a different combo than the pack - so no Gailard Child (Nin), Theurge Shadow Lord (Elton), Ahourn Bone Gnawer (Podge) or x Silver Fang (Melodie?) for me. I’m thinking Black Fury Philodox maybe

Melodie is a philodox.
