Everyone has been writing about other things and leave out the werewolves. Where are they I am longing to have a werewolf MC.
Write one! When you see something underrepresented, one of the best solutions is to fill the void yourself.
They’re in your head.
Honestly.
If you really want one, write it yourself!
Or do what I hope to do later on and pay some 10k upfront to write it for you!
But more helpfully some games have stuff like vampires and monsters, yet I have noticed werewolves are often neglected, if shown perhaps only as NPC’s with little roles.
That said, I’m pretty sure Monster High (or Monster of New Haven High) has the option to be a werewolf)
Congresswolf was an ok game. I’d prefer a Werewolf game with more action though. Something that lives up to the adventures of Kitty Norville, my favorite fictional werewolf, would be nice.
You could also play Howl of the Werewolf, a classic Fighting Fantasy CYOA book. But I agree, werewolves need more CYOA love.
There’s this from Upcoming Choice of Games Releases — 2018:
Is that supposed to be a pun? The title is bugging me…
It is a pun (20 characters)
Congresswolf was a thing, hahah.
I mean, it was more congress than wolf, but I had fun for what it was.
(It’ll give me an excuse to draw a werewolf wearing a suit, so that’s cool.
I’m finishing up a werewolf game with lots of action for Choice of Games right now! It should be available in a few months!
Here’s the description:
Rise to power and lead your werewolf pack in a fight to survive by throwing off the shackles of a tyrannical military police state! Raised in captivity within the refuge of Haven, you’ve never known the freedom of the wilds; you’re a new breed of lupine explorer, your hunting grounds an urban jungle of steel and concrete. When your expedition to a forbidden military base goes wrong, a startling discovery sparks an escalation of violence and tragedy that may well find your pack consumed by the hungry maw of war.
Hunted nearly to extinction through the bloody years of the Purge, the werewolf race has seen better days. What few wolves remain are secured within a government internment camp where their labor and submission are mandatory. You are one of fifteen pups born into this brave new world, but you soon discover that the elders have selected you for an influential path that will put you directly into the cross-hairs of both the military and werewolf radicals alike!
‘Werewolves: Haven Rising’ is a 255,000 word interactive novel by Jeffrey Dean, where your choices control the story. It’s entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
- Train your skills in the path of the warrior, the shadow, or the sage.
- Decide whether your enemies live or die using non-lethal tactics or tearing them apart with claw and fang!
- Choose your allegiances carefully; some friends will need your help but others may betray you!
- Rise to power in opposition to a war monger or join him in the fight for werewolf supremacy!
- Uncover the true motivations of a powerful anti-werewolf zealot.
- Explore several potential romance stories, finding love in an increasingly chaotic world.
- Play as male, female, or nonbinary; gay, straight, or bisexual.
Your game’s on my list, Mr. Dean.
Jesus Christ, that sounds like the werewolf IF piece of my dreams.
Aside from the games they said there are some games that feature werewolves as ROs/characters.
There was this WIP where you play as beauty and you see the beast (I think this WIP died though). There was also The Vampire House where you can romance a werewolf and see her pack. Also in Welcome to Moreytown you play as a human-animal hybrid and you can pick wolf as the animal, basically making you a werewolf.
There, fixed it for you.
Oh boy, now this is something I really want to buy.
I hate, no, loathe you…
Sorry to revive an old thread, but I’m working on a lesbian werewolf romance game! I don’t have a blurb ready quite yet, but the majority of it is already written and the first two chapters are coded! I should have a demo available at the end of the month (November 2018).
They are dead.
