@LOR Don’t feel bad because even though your computer malfunctioned, you didn’t lose everything.(I was working on my own choice of game but I didn’t post it and before I could, my laptop broke and my entire game was unsalvageable.) I’m just happy that this thread isn’t dead, because this is My favorite choice of game that is a work-in-progress. :]
I usually keep to myself, but no one else has commented yet and this sentence really bothered me:
[Right after the first dream.] "It was early morning in the Valence mansion, and, was, surprisingly, actually quite quiet and even somewhat peaceful."
There are way too many commas and it would flow much better if there was only one adverb. That being said, I like the story so far and the atmosphere you create surrounding the family is very interesting. I look forward to where you take this story. : )

Tome called my character child of decay it makes me wonder if that has something to do with why the character is there

And it won’t be, unless I have an uber good reason. Like the world ending. That may be a good enough reason. Possibly. But I’m really flattered and surprised that you guys like my game.
@TheWaffle Yeah, I usually do that with my sentences. I’m still working on the descriptive thing but it’s hard to break old habits. That being said, I hope you end up enjoying the way the game plays out!
@817819 and @Kitty9 The MCs are two different people, so while you’re playing the MC, the other person is busy with their own ‘responsibilities’. It’s good that you’re wondering, though! That’s an important factor while playing this game. Tome isn’t a hypnotist per se but she has her fair share of “abilities”.

@817819 When you choose your gender, you’re also choosing a person with a default appearance, name, and past. They’re their own individual person. The other gender option you didn’t choose is also an individual person. Basically, if you chose to be Saber, then Sabre is still existent as another character and vice versa.

@Dark_Bear2899 Thank you! Don’t worry, I won’t drop Welcome to the Family. The characters I have in mind are too interesting for that.
It has a touch of Alice: Madness Returns to it with the mystery and is this family crazy or not and will they make me go insane with all their secrets and whatnot. I like it a lot.
@Scrivener Aren’t mysterious and possibly insane families fun? I might add in an option for the character to go insane. That would interesting. I would say that *some* of them can be defined as crazy or insane. It really depends on when you’re talking to them.
